IAmSinistar: Fantastic show, mostly repackages British detective shows for American audiences. First place I saw the definitive Sherlock Holmes series starring Jeremy Brett, along with Poirot starring David Suchet. They've brought many a great series across the Big Pond.
Mmhh, I don't think I know this Sherlock Holmes series. I mostly stuck to Basil Rathbone & the "Murder By Decree" one. Might have to take a look.

Oh, you're in for a real treat, Jeremy Brett's Sherlock is just excellent. He just -is- Sherlock, helped along with a great Watson and writers and directors who didn't muck about with this "reimagining" crap.
please, someone* please tell me more about this game! damn that's my genre we're talking about

* who actually played it

Agreed. If you are a Sherlock fan at all, these are the stories brought to life. Every part of them rings true, from the actors to the settings to the story flow. Seldom has a body of fiction been so faithfully and beautifully adapted.
Soo, 1.5 stars for this game so far. I'm curious, how many of those who voted have actually played the game?

Wondering the exact same thing.

In all likelihood, the number of people who played the game before rating it is even smaller than the rating itself.
It seems a really interesting release, also considering that a Linux version is coming soon. Wishlisted for now, waiting for some reviews. :)

I think the reason for 1.5 stars is because it's a game with regional pricing some people like Zoidberd encourage downvoteing because of that which is imo silly.
Soooo.. what's the deal with regional prices? Why did they remove Painkiller and a bunch of other games supposedly because they wanted regional prices, and now they're doing it even for indie releases? Sorry, it now seems that the reason they gave us does not relate to the truth.
I also refuse to buy a game that encourages this song to creep into my head. It does so often enough on its own.

yes... ditto! Jeremy brett is the perfect Sherlock holmes and there were actually two gents who played Watson in that series. the first was only there for the first handful of episodes. he was taller but shared many qualities which made the transition seem seamless...as both were great. my fiancé and I are both big fans and we re-watch the series every few years. some episodes are better than others but none are bad. I remember there being a few trippy ones in regards to camera-work and odd effects later on in the series. good stuff.

Apparently that's because GOG's fair regional pricing policy only covers new(ish) games. Which in practice means that excellent titles that would have sold well for years to come (like "Amnesia: The Dark Descent") have to get pulled from the catalogue while GOG is willing to cover the extra cost to non US$ buyers for regionally priced garbage like "Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs", simply because that one is relatively new.

Well, thanks for the recommendations. I've found a DVD collection on Amazon, will contemplate this come the next paycheck.

BadDecissions: Super! As a Kickstarter backer, I already own it, although I don't think that the developer is giving away GOG keys.
When you do get to play Neverending Nightmares please do report back with some first impressions; it looks great but I'm on the fence.
