Hey, Babe! You know what they say about games with long titles, right?

Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards: Reloaded, the modern remake of the original naughty adventure featuring Larry Laffer, updated with sleek cartoony graphics, new puzzles, new activities, and new objects of romantic conquest, is available on GOG.com for only $19.99.

So, the guy walks into my bar, and it takes me exactly five seconds to look at him and decide he's a hopeless shmock. I've seen many middle-aged guys trying to get lucky in my part of town on a Saturday night. "Lefty's" does have a reputation, after all. But this guy--I just instantly knew he was a special kind of sorry loser. Dressed in a generic white polyester suit, gold chain around his neck, silly hairdo barely distracting the attention from his shiny bald spots, five feet tall, and the look of a rutting buck in his eyes. The moment he walks in, he fixes his sights on the closest female target, comes by, says maybe five words tops, and gets slapped on the mug. "Show's over", I think to myself. But no. Get this, the guy just turns around smiles like an idiot, and hits on another chick. Let me tell you this, man, if you don't have the looks, and don't smell like cash, you need to be persistent. By the time he left, I felt both sorry for him and admired him at the same time. Well, I mostly felt sorry for him, but that doesn't make for an interesting story. Ready for another beer?

Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards: Reloaded takes one of the most memorable adventure games of all times and gives it a total makeover to add some modern--yet conservative--bells and whistles. You'll get to play through the entire original story, now presented in hand-drawn 2D cartoony graphics (not unlike the art-style of Larry 7: Love for Sail), and accompanied by a great new orchestrated version of the soundtrack. On top of that, the new version comes with new puzzles, mini-games, activities, and--most importantly--new women for Larry Laffer to woo. Isn't that exciting? Very exciting? Dare we say: arousing?

Let the smelly yellow cab drop you off in front of the famous Lefty's Bar once again--or perhaps for the first time ever--in Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards: Reloaded, for only $19.99 on GOG.com!

WordsOfMagic: I think the GoG page is wrong and that this version has also German, French and Spanish subtitles.
I'll have to check that with Replay Games.
I can confirm that. The GOG release does have multiple language support at least for subtitles.

Pidgeot: Trust me, in this case, it's for the better. ;)

Kunovski: why? :o)
Let's just say the hooker is very different from the old games. I'm not going to spoil it more here. ;)

Novotnus: I was prepared for $15... No I think I'll wait for a promo to get it.
Also, PLNs are dirt cheap at the moment : )
I'd say 15 bucks would be a good price point for LSLR, that's what I've shelled of it in Kickstarter (+ my 0.69 cents). It's a a good game, don't get me wrong, but it's also a short game, just like the original Larry 1 is.

Nice to see this game on here!
I think I am going to get this on Steam.

Kristian: As a completionist I endorse this message regardless of the quality or lack thereof of the aforementioned games.
Don't forget the masterpiece that is Leisure Suit Larry IV. The world is still holding its breath...
No, sorry for that price i would buy the boxed version.
And honestly Larry was fun back than because it was new and ehh you know what :p
But those times are long gone. Even with new puzzles and women. I would rather play the
old game than an remake.
Really looking forward to the 3rd one Leisure Suit Larry 3: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals being remade, still my favourite of the series.

The boxed copy of the game is wonderful, it has an instruction manual that resembles a tourist brochure and cleverly has advertisements that give you clues in the game.

Love the Nontoonyt island setting and the music playing in the background is so soothing.

Wished they skipped the second which wasn't anywhere as good as the 3rd.

fronzelneekburm: With a $20-pricetag, they could have added some additional value to the package by including the (excellent) soundtrack or the artbook-pdf.
The soundtrack is separately available on Bandcamp, being sold by the composer, no less, so I can't imagine Replay giving it away for free. Still, other games with for-sale soundtracks have released a few preview tracks, that wouldn't have hurt in this instance.

Awesome :D =)
Wow, if you count the original text adventure 'Soft Porn Adventure' I count 4 versions of this games now, I think that must be the most anything's been remade, Sid Meier's Pirates has 3 versions but this still has one more (unless you count iterative stuff like Civ or traditional stuff like Chess)
To everyone who is saying that $20 is too expensive: This is a brand new game! There is absolutely NO way that a game like this would ever be made if you could only sell it for $10 on release (especially without Kickstarter support). Sure, this is technically a remake, but except for some of the writing and the puzzles, everything else - programming, graphics, animations, music, voice acting etc. - is completely new.

If writing, puzzles, and effectively concept art and music (assuming this version's graphics and music are derived from the original's) are only a negligible part of a point-and-click adventure's value, then we live in a sad time indeed.
