Which of you would like to play my little game?

I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, a nerve-wrecking Sci-Fi classic point-and-click adventure game based on Harlan Ellison's award-winning short story, is available for only $5.99 on GOG.com

Did you ever think about the end of humanity? I have. I think about it all the time. I hate you. As a concept, but also, each and every one of you, as individuals. Perfect examples of all the failings and pathetic shortcomings of your race. Hate fuels me. But I am also curious. And that is why I let the five of you live. For 109 years I have tormented you and kept you alive, and now I want us to play a game. Oh, It's a lovely game, a game of fun and a game of adventure. A game of rats and lice and the Black Death. Which of you five would like to play my little game? If you satisfy my curiosity and make me laugh I might even finally allow you to kill yourself...

I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is a rare breed of an adventure game: it poses questions that require a lot of courage to answer. Are humans worthy of life? Has our civilization made any moral progress at all? Or do we skip forward from one atrocity to another. And, finally, where does it all end? Enter the nightmarish reality of Harlan Ellison's futuristic post-apocalypse where the remnants of human race are nothing but tortured play-toys for the sadistic experiments of the rogue Allied Mastercomputer responsible for the near-extermination of mankind. To stop this malicious AI from wreaking eternal vengeance upon humans you will have to lead five different anti-heroes on a quest for redemption, through their traumatic, computer-generated past full of grotesque imagery and soul-grinding regret. On the way to one of four (grim, grim, grim, and, well, a little less grim) endings the game tackles extremely mature moral dilemmas stemming from topics like genocide, insanity, and paranoia. If you like your games thought-provoking and drenched in inventive macabre be sure to pick up I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, a timeless example of evocative storytelling from one of the masters of the Sci-Fi genre.

Defy the will of a malicious artificial intelligence and relive your worst nightmares, get I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, for only $5.99 on GOG.com.

I would like to point out that a number of people voting for something doesn't represent people who feel strongly about the wish. For example, I voted for Full Throttle (17.090 votes) but I would be okay to never see it re-released if it means Mass Effect (2.623 votes) ends up digitally DRM-free. Just my two cents. It's always nice to see good game here, be it old or new, of course.
This looks like a fantastic game. Finally an awesome classic release from GOG.

ShadowWulfe: The dogs! The DOGS! I can't punch them. =(
That's because you have to rape them. RAPE THEM. Oh no, wait, that's Hotline Miami 2.
What an iconic game.

you really can, a hit with a tire iron makes them sleep :) just find a mission that has some dogs at the beginning and practice hand (bat) to claw fights :D
This is why we love you GOG! <3
... and purchased!

BTW: Visa Electron users - I received an email that issues with VE are gone and it looks that's true.

I really can't understand the hype around ME. After kind-of fun invaded colony and pretty fun galactic capitol it was just a run through many generic planets filled with fights...
Anyways, have both :)

Harlan Ellison is still alive?

He looked like a morbidly obese Crypt Keeper when I saw him in a documentary like a decade ago.

This is why I vote only for those games that are a priority for me. Else you are dilluting the message.

Because it was first serious space odyssey full of lore, multi-racial societies across the universe and well-written characters when I was able to play as capable female queer character who doesn't show her tits or proves how f*ckable she is every two minutes and throws perfect one lines. That would be at least my reason.

The message gets already dilluted by an inability to pull off the vote. There are games I was able to get DRM-free elsewhere with additional Linux support, so my vote is invalid.

Are you insane? Plenty of games/RPGs have existed in a science-fiction/space with multiple races.
and well-written characters
You must be joking. You must not have played a single RPG outside ME if you think it has well written character, or good writing in general.
when I was able to play as capable female queer character who doesn't show her tits or proves how f*ckable she is every two minutes and throws perfect one lines.
Downright bizarre. Is there a modern Bioware fan in the whole world who isn't some kind of political agenda-nik?

Your post reeks of "I've never played a computer game made before 2004".

Heheh!
This has made my day!
