There's more than one side to every story.

FEZ, an original and incredibly deep perspective-twisting puzzle-platformer with countless imaginative stages to explore in a incredibly complex, awe-inspiring world, is available on GOG.com, for only $9.99.

Remember the time when everyone thought that the world was flat? Well, Gomez does. In fact, he thought so himself, just until recently--and I mean "flat" as in "two-dimensional". Then all of a sudden our hero was presented with an artifact that proved almost everything he thought he knew about his land wrong. Coincidentally strange reality glitches started to occur all around, and it seems that it's up to Gomez to fix whatever went wrong with the fabric of his universe.

FEZ is an indie puzzle-platformer which took years to make, and looking at the level of its complexity one still has to wonder how was creating such a huge, diverse, and rich gameworld even possible. There's a good chance that you won't even see the half of what the game has to offer on your first playthrough, and even after long hours spent with Gomez you'll still be discovering new elements of the giant multi-layered puzzle that he calls home. The challenge of this game lies not in agile platform-hopping, but in solving elaborate enigmas you encounter on every step. The games unique perspective-rotating mechanics allow for some incredible level design, but not all puzzles you encounter are perspective-based. In fact, the variety of puzzles in FEZ is astounding, and some of them call for taking notes why you play--something that games rarely achieve nowadays. This game, ladies and gentlemen, is one in a million experience. Be sure not to miss it, for whatever cause.

Find out why a fez is actually a thinking-cap and set out to explore one of the most amazing gameworlds ever created in FEZ, for only $9.99 on GOG.com!

One more thing before you go fiddle with the trixelated space-time continuum. Today's game release marks the submission deadline for our pre-order contest, in which you've had the chance to become a proud owner of an actual, physical fez hat. We'll announce the winners soon!

benmar: So, what else is new in the world?
Just kidding, my thoughts exactly : -)
Yeah i remember him saying "Fez is supposed to be experienced on a big ass TV with a controller and using the xbox because i'm stupid and believe pissing off the PC community will pay off big time when i roll in the big microsoft dollars, so it's never ever going to be released on PC..."

Then: "I don't care about patching a game breaking bug because it costs me to much microsoft dollars"

Then: "why so little people buy my masterpiece, wait i know let's release it on PC, those suckers will buy anything...."

So yeah... But to be honest it is a great game so, if anything see it as supporting gog.com

What he actually said, when asked about a possible future PC release, was "it's a console game. for consoles. PCs are for spreadsheets."

But it's tongue & cheek dickishness. It's the kind of dickishness (built within a fortress of dicks) that's meant to offend the sensitive and easily offended.
Seriously, though. Don't give this dude money. Want to support GOG.com? Last time I checked, the GOG catalog had a few dozen other titles to choose from. He already gave people permission to pirate it, and he'll bitch about pirates paying less than $90 regardless. The alternative is supporting Phil Fish, which would be far more of a crime than piracy.

If you really want to play it without pirating, just wait for an indie bundle and dump the money into something other than the developers. Woe to the developers stuck losing out in the same bundle as Fez, but I suppose that's the price.

I've played more than my fair share of indie games from developers who should be banned from speaking and having opinions, but Phil puts them all to shame. Just don't complain about the price. If $9.99 for this $90 value is too much to swallow... well, you literally have Phil Fish's blessing.

Andy Kaufman avatar.

Think, my fellow PC gamers, THINK.
I've seen the things he has said, and don't get why people are so offended. Is it a culture thing? I found many of his comments funny.

Yeah, I don't agree with his marketing, but you have to admit that he's *good* at it.
I saw a guy wearing a Fez just the other day!
Lol, he's like the "antichrist" of independent developer. Maybe just a character or gimmick.

Really I don't think the kind of person someone is should matter much when buying a game/book/movie/whatever, if you did you'd have to do a full background check on an every new artist before you bought from them (If I did I'd need to consider burning my Hitchcock collection from some things I've heard).
But I don't see how offending sensitive people is better than offending other kinds of people?

The difference there is that Hitchcock produced some outstanding work and changed how people saw films.

All Fish did was redo super paper mario and claim he was an artist with a unique vision.

Yeah, I've heard that one before. Running around with an Andy Kaufman avatar gives him free reign to say and act as he pleases. Just like how somebody with an Adolf Hitler avatar has a free pass to ramble on about how ethnic cleansing would solve all of today's problems, or how somebody with a Peter Molyneux avatar is entitled to make more empty promises than an elevator full of politicians.
