ShadowWulfe: Nice, I need to actually play the first Escape Goat.
go and play it
what a game!

can someone confirm if Escape Goat 2 is still a one-man job?

cyboff: same here :D but now it is already installed :D

p.s. unfortunately World is missing somewhere :(

kevingadd: Hi, sorry it crashed!

How did you launch the game? Where is it installed? Do you happen to have non-latin1 (i.e. US english) characters somewhere in the path to the game or your documents folder?

I'm not sure we did any testing on Czech Windows so a bug may have slipped in there. If I get some details I'll make sure to fix it ASAP!
Hi, it is on mac (not windows), but I don't thing it is something special in the path: app in /Applications/ directory, saves are in /Users/krzycho/Library/Application Support/Escape Goat 2/ (e.g. crash log and settings are stored there without problem) ...

p.s. I found where is the problem! It is in system language setting (in System Preferences) - it was set to Polish, now I changed it to English and it works... Funny is, it works also when language is set to Czech :D

Hey there! I did the Mac version of EG2.

Where is Escape Goat 2.app located on your setup? The map file should be in place, but when we get this Exception it could be a permissions issue, or possibly something related to the file path that I should check... hard to tell right off the bat, but I've seen a similar issue in the past.

Controller support: Escape Goat 2 fully supports the Xbox 360 and other XInput-capable controllers.
Thank you, GOG, for specifying :-)

Not an issue for me, as I have a 360 controller, but good to know for other people who don't.

I was working on a single-screen puzzle game that didn't have a theme yet, when my wife discovered a Reddit thread on the best misused English phrases. "escape goat" was one of the top ones. I knew this had to be the title and theme of my game.
Hooray! Instabuy just to reward the guys from MagicalTimeBean for the fun I had with the first game (even if some of the bonus levels were too hard for me). It was definitely one of my favourite games I've played last year.

Linux and Mac builds should support basically any controller; we only have this limitation on Windows because we use XNA instead of SDL2.

Let us know if you need to use a non-360 controller on Windows and we can look into fixing that in the future.

Your game has redefined the entire platformer genre for me. Not kidding.
It's a damn refined game in every aspect of the word.

And I think I'm not the only one to say that Escape Goat is an all-time favorite.
Yep, I also KNOW that EG 2 is more of the same (in a damn good way).
