If there's a thing more fearsome than a dragon, it's a dragon with a jetpack!

Divinity: Dragon Commander, multi-layered real-time strategy game with a fantastic setting, epic scale, amazing gameplay depth, and many original ideas, is available on GOG.com, for $39.99. You can also get the extensive Divinity: Dragon Commander Imperial Edition for a little more, that is $44.99.

What is Divinity: Dragon Commander? Let us put an image in your head. A giant army rushes into battle. First, the scouts, agile and fast, with their bows always ready. Then the cavalry, blazing on their relentless mounts. Then, the heavy infantry--warriors of all the shapes, sizes, and races with their plate armors sounding with every step like the bells of doom. Right behind them, the battle beasts--horrors bred with one purpose only: destruction. Some of them pulling the ballistas, trebuchets, and other siege machines. Above them, a variety of zeppelins and flying machines ready to spread death from above. And then, suddenly, a great shadow falling over the battlefield. A gigantic winged dragon swooping down at lightning speed, propelled by a jetpack, breathing fire and roaring fiercely. An image sure to strike fear in the hearts of the enemies. You, however, have nothing to fear. This is your army, and you are the Dragon, its commander and Emperor. Can you see it now? Can you grasp the scale of the game? Maybe it's better that you saw it with your own eyes.

Divinity: Dragon Commander realease trailer

Divinity: Dragon Commander allows the player to experience war from many unique perspectives, thus breathing new life to real-time strategy genre. The idea to put the gamer in the role of a Dragon commanding its people (and elves, and dwarves, and undead, and--well, creatures) into battle and even taking part in the combat directly is original enough to make the game phenomenally involving. The people who gave you the acclaimed Divinity RPG series decided however, to add a couple more layers to the gameplay. In the game, you'll get to make diplomatic decisions, manage your empire in an epic world-map mode, and even utilize elements of trading card game mechanics. All that and more, coupled with excellent visuals, peculiar humor, and many available scenarios (single-player and multi-player alike), gives the game a potential to become the next big step in the evolution of RTS genre.

Sink your claws into the biggest chunk of full-blooded fantasy real-time strategy out there, with Divinity: Dragon Commander, for only $39.99 on GOG.com! Please note, that if you decide to upgrade your game to the Imperial Edition, you can do so by acquiring the Imperial Edition Upgrade DLC for only $9.99. You can also start with Divinity: Dragon Commander Imperial Edition for $44.99, and if you were one of the pre-ordering customers, you already have it.

Yay :) Great

Now waiting for Original Sin. I hope its coming to gog.
I'm seriously thinking about getting this, despite the high price point. It would be the first full priced PC game I'd buy since ... I think Risen 1?

On the other side, I just wasted so much time with Risen 2, and I do have to study. But it looks like a really nice game.

Fully priced? 40$ is definitely mid-priced, $60 would be full

Only for console games. On the PC, many games are in the price range of 40-45$, even so-called AAA titles, I think.

Simply don't have the money for it, and won't until after I come back from a holiday to Spain but.....it's definitely on my wishlist to buy after that. This game is the one I've been most excited about since I heard about it.

Hope it sells well :)

Fully priced game in Australia for $40?? Just a few years ago it used to be $100... Steam and gog have spoiled gamers a bit....

I would say 50€ is the normal "full price", with some games (from Activision) being sold for more, so this one is a tad bit cheaper than the normal AAA "full price", and more in line with what you would expect from a medium-budget game like say Crusader Kings 2 on release.
Hi, there must be something messed up in download page.
As I preordered it, I now have imperial edition in the shelf, but I can't download it, resulting in "403 forbidden page"
https://secure.gog.com/downlink/divinity_dragon_commander_imperial_edition/en1installer2

Also gamepages for both versions say I should buy it, and are not labeled as "owned - redownload", as it is usual for already purchased games.

Just for fun. :) Can anyone name the original ideas? (Elves, dwarfs, undead, ... do not count)
Well, I just looked up the new Steam releases. Turns out, there haven't been many so-called AAA-titles lately, but I guess Grid 2 does qualify and it's also sold for 40$.

But I admit that I don't pay that much attention to PC pricing, since thanks to Steam I barely buy any "AAA" games for the PC anymore.

The WTF is seemed mildly interesting, though I don't think I'd get it for full price

Dragon with a jetpack original enough for you? :P

EDIT: Ninja'd

How about a lipstick-wearing skeleton, then?

Also, in whatever Steam-ripoff Euro zone I come under, new releases are €50-€60. This is definitely mid-range for me. (Although I got it from the Original Sin Kickstarter).

Come on, just don't tell me I am only one, who has trouble with downloading... or even worse - I am only one who pre-purchased it here on GOG :D
