gandalfnho: How's is this one compared with Depths of Peril?

JudasIscariot: DoP didn't have you cursed a by god to force you to save the world one town at a time. Kind of reminds me of a fantasy take on A Clockwork Orange but without the moloko plus :D
wait, wut? what in god's name goes on in that game, then?? 0.o
Finally Din's Curse and it's expansion is here. Hell yea.
Buying it in support of Soldak and GOG.
So, when's Drox Operative arriving? =p
Instant purchase! Thanks for this release!

Apparently, in some past life or just in the past, you were a really despicable person so Din's curse (hence the name of the game) is kind of your punishment since you are forced to do good deeds against your potentially evil nature :)

It's all explained in the game, I just compare the curse to A Clockwork Orange due to how Alex couldn't be himself anymore despite the fact that he was a rotten little bastard in the beginning :)
Does anyone know if a Xbox controller works with this?
Oh, this is a great one. If you like the base game, the expansion is highly recommended for extra goodness (or evilness).
For those into modding, Soldak's games are all pretty easy to modify.

Silverhawk170485: Somehow unexpected but nice release. I already own it from the Soldak site but I purchased it here too to have it on my GOG shelf. But what is the serial number for?
Since it doesn't look like anyone answered you yet, the serial key is for multiplayer.

oh lol, now I understand!

Rotten little bastard is a nice way of describing Alex... :)

Gandos: Diablo II? Though Griswold's fate was far worse than death... :(
Reminds me of Diablo's "Not even death can save you from me."

avatar
JudasIscariot: But Griswold's death was a scripted event, no?
I'm not sure I'd use the term "scripted", since it happened between games. But it is a set event, yes. I was really sad to see what happened to Griswold (and to be punched to death by him). I was much more delighted with Wirt's fate (odd shaped treasure chest).
Action RPG, great price, no regional pricing.
Bought along with the expansion. :-)

JudasIscariot: There's no diplomacy as it's a straightfoward, in terms of gameplay mechanics, dungeon diving game :)

No overland travel.

Depths of Peril has a kind of early WoW- style combat mode where you needed to have one ability on a monster beforeyou could use another (if you've played a Rogue in WoW then you'll know what I mean) so in Depths of Peril you had to chain your attacks in a certain way.

DoP didn't have you cursed a by god to force you to save the world one town at a time. Kind of reminds me of a fantasy take on A Clockwork Orange but without the moloko plus :D
Thanks for the answer

Ah right, I forgot about the event happening between games, my bad :)
I don't understand why DemonWar is sold separately.
DLC's magic.

I'm curious as to why the Demon War DLC appears as a separate shelf item, instead of collapsed into the game like other DLC. Is there a technical reason for this, perhaps?
