Visit Deponia! Twice! Now on Mac! More cool junk for everyone! I'm a tagline!

Deponia 2: Chaos on Deponia, a cartoony point-and-click adventure that continues the eccentric story of Rufus and Goal, is now available on GOG.com for $15.99--that’s 20% off the full price! Or, if you’ve missed your trip to Deponia altogether, you can even get first game and the sequel packed together with a solid 30% discount! To put the cherry on top: both games now run on Mac!

The planet Deponia is just as much covered in trash and junk as you remember it. It might have nearly avoided total destruction, but that does not mean that another disaster isn't lurking just around the corner. Yes, not much has changed. Maybe except that Rufus, the improbable hero, toned down his mischievous ways. That happens to people when they fall in love, you know. But, just as expected, the moment of bliss won't last long. Deponia is falling into chaos, Rufus' love interest Goal has a sudden identity crisis, and everything pushes our hero to go on yet another insane adventure. His pain, our pleasure.

Deponia 2: Chaos on Deponia is a worthy sequel to the original Deponia. The weird puzzles, the excellent hand-drawn graphics, the brilliant voice acting, the wits, and the eccentric characters make a very successful return, but this time you'll feel there's more of everything in the game. Don't miss out on one of the most incredible tales in the world of adventure gaming!

Point-and-click adventure fans! Those games brings in everything you love about the genre in a very attractive and colorful package full of brilliant, witty humor and cinematic storytelling. Get Deponia 2: Chaos on Deponia and Deponia, now also available for Mac! Or grab them both with an awesome 30% bundle discount!

BreOl72: -Deponia 1 gets released on january 27th 2012
-Deponia 2 gets released on october 9th 2012
-Deponia 3 gets released in january 2013 (at least, so it's planned)

That makes merely a year between part 1 and 3 (!).

So, why wasn't it possible to hold back the release 'til january 2013 and then release the whole thing as one game?

Or at least release part 2 and 3 as one package?

So it leaves a sour taste...

Yeah, I know...I'm a nitpicker. :o)

Tantrix: Yeagh, I am wondering too. Deponia 1 was pretty short, it would have been more productive to sell it as ONE bundle.

Nevermind.
Perhaps the author was cautious for If his game did not sell well at all.

Imago: Now in German and Russian too, thanks GOG!
+1

And what a coincidence that GOG manages to acquire these rights just on release day, after the pre-order sale is over! Who would have thought? :P

And if?
Parts 2 and 3 had never seen the light of day and the trustfully buyers of part 1 (with its unsatisfying ending) had been screwed?

And the fact, that between 2 and 3 lie only 3 - 4 months (depending on the actual release date), lets guess, that part 3 could have been released with part 2, no?

As I said - it leaves a sour taste.

I suppose.

Though Deponia part 1 does have a closure that's 10x better than Dreamfall.
I like that the game is released one part at a time. It would have substantially reduced my appreciation of Deponia 1 if Deponia 2 was available immediately. Of course, I don't get to play Deponia 2 until (somewhat less than) a month from now, so if anyone spoils it for me, I will end you and all you love.

Well, that might be...though I can not see how the unsatisfying ending of one game relates to the unsatisfying ending of another.

Well,...no matter.

Even so, if there wasn' t a Deponia 2 (and 3)?
Instead just one game named Deponia, with all the content of the three (artificially stretched?) parts?

Well I can always listen to the German soundtrack, it's not like I expect to understand anything.
Many thanks to Daedalic Entertainment for including a Russian version

Also: "I'm a tagline!"

Never change, GOG :)

Then Daedalic would get our money just once. Now they get it 3x.
Don't you see it's better for all of us????
Now in german too = bought.
Keep up this great job Daedalic.
Has Daelalic fixed the audio issue which affected The Whispered World and made it unplayable on some systems? I'm very hesitant to try any of their games after that one.
