The truth may be hidden, but never forgotten.

Blackguards: Untold Legends, the first DLC to the Daedalic Entertainment's well-received turn-based strategic RPG, continuing the main story line with seven new exciting quests, is now available on GOG.com for only $5.99. The base game, Blackguards: Special Edition, is now available 10% off. That's $40.49 for a week!

Blackguards: Untold Legends extends the game with seven new engaging quests revolving around the past of the ex-gladiator Takate of the forest-dwellers tribe. It brings in eleven brand new battle maps and four new devastating weapons to lay waste to your enemies. 25 new atmospheric tracks were added to complement the Blackguards Soundtrack, and are available in both high-quality MP3 and losslessly-encoded FLAC format. Please note, that if you already own the base game, you need to patch it to version 1.3 in order to play the DLC (patch available through the base game's download section).

Fight against rebellious slaves, learn more about Takate's past and stop sinister magic rituals in Blackguards: Untold Legends, for only $5.99. If you don't have the base game yet, you can grab it for $40.49 until Tuesday, March 11, at 2:29PM GMT.
Any reviews on this DLC?

JudasIscariot: That's actually not a bad idea :) I'll pass that along to Marketing :D
I'm praying that there's not gonna be some confusion and you guys accidentally end up introducing "One world - one language". Although actually... I'd lol pretty hard on that one.

Yes, but no one specified which language :D

Yay, language roulette! Buy a game - hope that it's gonna be in your language!
I'll skip this DLC for now, since it requires patch 1.3 to run. Don't get me wrong, I think the patch will be a great improvement! But I have one problem with the patch...
- Reduced the hit chance of Hammer Blow and increased AP costs to learn it.
Hammerblow is a ridiculously overpowered skill (triple damage, but you can't parry in the next round). But it doesn't work with spears and (one handed) swords. So I taught Takate and my main character to use two handed blunt weapons. The AT of two handed blunt weapons isn't THAT good, even with the appropriate weapon skill maxed out. If the hit chance gets lowered further, they won't hit anything... And since Blackguards has a pretty tight limit on what you can carry, I sold Takate's good spear and my main characters good sword and shield. Thus the patch would break my party...

Thanks God I haven't bought Blackguards on Steam ;P

Huh, that´s a hard situation. But, anyway:
Weaponsmaster is called to be a very powerful, but of cause also very expensive skill that causes massive bonus on AT, Parade and Damage!

Oh, and don´t forget to raise attributes and debuffs.
Lowering Parade and Dodging is essential in Blackguards, as well as Attribute Bonuses!
Seeing this game discounted so early after release makes it tempting for to buy it.

Will definitely consider, until the payday will come :)

real.geizterfahr:
My advice: hack your cash and just rebuy the equipment to swap it out for the situation to be acceptable for the patch.

One reason could be the mediocre reviews. A low price doesn't always mean that price to value is good.

And that I say although I like Dadaelic a lot. According to the reviews the game could be much, much better than it really is.

Everybody get to learn Klingon the same way they learned English two decades ago when the Internet wasn't as ubiquitous as today - painstakingly walking through a game with a dictionary in hand!

But, on the other hand, it could have been much worse ;)
No, seriously now:
The game is very good, an excellent addition to every RPG- and/or Tactics-Lover.
Not so nice for somebody who´s a Diehard Fan of 1st/3rd-Person, but suitable for everybody else!

And that's one of the best ways to learn any language – that's why I like multilingual games and play them so much. Men jag kan hitta inte ganska datorspelar i svenska. Jag kan bara läsa böcker :-)

But honestly it's not bad at all - it's difficult and well the DarkEye system is a bit confusing. The learning curve is steep - I'm still in the first chapter on Normal difficulty... Me, who loves TBS and RPG and likes challenges (like Elven Legacy, Fantasy Wars, King's Bounty series on impossible...). Anyway, I admit the voice acting is not good, could have been way much better, and sometimes you have to win two battles in a row before you can save, which can take more than an hour sometimes...
DLC about 5 weeks after release of the "deluxe edition" game......lame.

@ Daedalic: At least pretend like you didn't hold back any content intentionally in order to make quick money after release.

Disgraceful.

I agree. Why this content isn't in the core game ? What really justify this add-on content ?
