So... which of the two should I play(first) and why? Or should I ignore them altogether and play Grim Dawn?

I haven't heard of any of them so I say flip a 3 head monkey and see what it lands on.

Do not ignore them. Start with Van Helsing. It's a lot of fun and the ghost is so hilarious. Also it's a rather short affair, but quite intense.

Sacred 2 it's a long game, has quite a bit of replay value and it's different for each character. Also has two campaigns for certain characters - light path and dark path. The builds are very diverse and the mistakes in those are punishing.
