Play the first part of the game three weeks before the release only on GOG.com.

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/resonance]Resonance, the retro-style graphical adventure from publisher of the Blackwell Bundle we released yesterday (get it now 33% off!), has been available for pre-order for two weeks already. However, thanks to the wonderful people from Wadjet Eye Games, and your favorite digital distributor filled with dash and derring-do, the Playable Preview of Resonance is available to all the people who pre-ordered the game. We’re incredibly pleased to offer our users exclusive deals and best offers, but the four hours of Resonance Playable Preview available three weeks before the release is something GOG.com is really proud of.

Playable Preview is available for download as bonus content, so just go to ‘My Account’, click Resonance and download the preview either through your browser or the GOG.com Downloader.

If you don’t know what Resonance is, check the or [url=http://www.youtube.com/embed/0KlFyjyUM3Y]trailer below, and if you already pre-ordered, you’re probably not reading this but already downloading.

Thanks for the clarification. Good to know that there will be a demo version for everyone and that the savegames are not portable. To skip that part later sounds interesting. Are the achievements in any kind relevant for the gameplay (as far as I know there are different endings, so there must be different paths to go)?

A handful of the achievements you will get in the course of playing the game no matter what. Some of them are much trickier to get. Some are optional puzzles, some involve solving puzzles in harder-than-usual ways, some just involve asking a character about some bit of information that isn't required to beat the game. And some are very hard! There's one in particular that I'm wondering if anyone will manage. It would definitely require some people documenting the solution. :P

And yes, there are multiple endings, so there's an achievement for each!

llamas: So stoked to play this demo. Not Stoked that my preorder through Wadjeteye's website for the box version does not allow the demo. Well another month of waiting it is.
Email announcement just went out, everyone who preordered a box copy can get a GOG code. Forward them your email receipt.

Oh, so those who preordered a boxed copy also get the game on GOG? That's very nice of GOG and WadjetEye Games. Thumbs up! :)
The inconvenient truth is that this preview is already on p2p sites, but that is not necessarily a bad thing - it may actually encourage more people to buy the full version, so spread the word ;)

I remember the famous Deus Ex Human Revolution Alpha Leak (it contained a large chunk of the game too) and I remember how many people who played it said that they preordered the game or they are going to buy once it is out.

I dare say it cannot hurt to get this preview to as much people who did not preorder, as possible - if they play they will either like it and buy it (ok, not all of them, I know, some are still going to pirate - that is a fact of life). And if they do not like it they will be glad they could make an informed choice instead of buying and then regretting it. It's a win-win.

Got my code... no idea where to enter it though! It's not a gift code (the format's all wrong, but I tried anyway) and I can't find anywhere to enter promo codes during checkout so I'm stumped...
I asked Dave Gilbert and apparently I'm not the only person who can't work out what to do with it...

Any bluetext guidance?

Nope! Boxed edition customers get a GOG key (just email Wadjet Eye your order receipt). Now... what to do with that key is something I have yet to work out. :P

That did the trick, thanks. Where is that linked to normally?

Absolutely no idea. Have seen the link in the forums a few times, and I think you also get it from either The Witcher 2 or from GOG.com contests.

Ahh, so GOG only links to it in specific circumstances? They should add it to the footer, next to the gift page link. It would make even more sense if they just merged the pages...

EDIT: Wow, the preview is 440MB!

Thank you so much. I just emailed my receipt! Wadjeteye is the best!

How often do you think Bonus Codes are given out? And don't forget that a bonus code may be of the "Valid for one (1) $5.99 game" variety (have used one of those).
Downloading now! It's going to be a good night tonight.

I think don't think it would be that hard to just make the gift redeem box also accept bonus codes. All it needs to do is what it already does for gifts and then if it's not a valid gift code it can check it as a bonus code instead.

Well now, that's silly. I was curious to test it but I have to buy it?

Pass then... :/
