Most excellent news indeed, just another reason I love GOG!
Nice! GOG delivers nothing short of perfection! Makes me wish I had more of those games :P
Lovely!!
Great work GOG :).
Side question.
Why do you guys insist on making announcements like that in different places but on gog website itself?.

This one was announced at the official GOG.com blog.

Yeah but lot of us wouldn't have been aware there is even that blog if someone hadnt pointed it out. Similar. Stuff being announced by other media outlets before the site itself.Seems all a bit odd to me
Any chance of Gothic 3 soundtrack?
Very nice, the quality keeps on coming. I have a fair number of the games, too, so the benefit is immediate. Thanks!
Wow. That's quite a goody for customers. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

There was an unofficial-official announcement on the forum, in the General Discussion section, made by G-Doc.
Oh my God. Talk about an utter waste of space and traffic.

The games may be from the 90's and 00's but the bandwidth and infrastructure isn't! :)

Thanks a million to yourself and Thiev! There are some of us that can tell the difference! :)
Look at all the plebs in this thread calling people "audiophiles" for liking FLAC, anyone who isn't a half-deaf old koot can tell the difference

Sadly no. I asked the CEO of Piranha Bytes about this, and he said that they don't have the rights for digital distribution - getting them now would be too expensive and a lot of work, because so many people were involved (the orchestra for example - and even a commune).

When I tried out a portable player capable of FLAC playback and new awesome headphones, I was very impressed with the difference in quality... right until it started playing a new verse that wasn't in the original recording it was allegedly a FLAC version of. I converted FLAC back to mp3 later and it made no difference.

Still, FLAC is good for archival purposes. #thanksgog
Very good news.
