TheScorpion: I simply don't understand why on friday they throw already every existing bundle...
If I didn't have cash right away knowing which bundles were upcoming would actually be quite useful; I'd know how much money I should save so I could pick it up when it appears. Granted if payday were next week or something I'd still have to hope the bundle I wanted doesn't appear until then.

Just a thought.

jamyskis: I'm contemplating it, but to be honest, I've heard so much bad word-of-mouth about the game (from personal acquaintances) that I really don't know.
Omerta (and it's DLCs) are overpriced. The current 80% off makes it a decent offer, though it still means paying $11 for a game you may not enjoy.

Strategic layer is too easy, though that isn't always a bad thing. Tactical combat could be better, but it is still quite fun. Story is more or less standard, without choices and consequences. There is a lot of henchmen though, and it does allow quite a bit of customization on your playstyle (melee, ranged, tommy guns, shotguns, rifles etc).

Personally, I'd say go for it.

Redfoxe: Almost 2 weeks left. So i guess you have more bundles ready? :) (that havent been up already!)
I'm hoping this is the case. Otherwise I'm done with this sale already D:

Sure but the idea of wait to see what's the next bundle is completely dead now. the last three bundles (including this one) has all been included there already so there are no surprises anymore. The should have waited until the last day I think.

Oh, if I know anything about GoG, than that they will bring back all the bundles on the last day of the sale...again.
Just so...you know...in case, you missed one...

Was it greatly improved since the original launch with DLC and patches, ect.? Just curious, because, Yowwzaa, it sure got canned badly by almost everyone that bought it early. If it's been improved a bit, and at least a little challenging now, the 80% off may be worth a shot. Does the tactical element play anything like the new XCOM? Or is it just horrid?
avatar
TheScorpion: *snip*
They had one or two extra bundles during the winter sale, who knows they may do so again. For the most part, though, they did blow their wad already.
Omerta is still not worth it even at this price better gangster games on gog than this, sad has it had such great potential and the patches haven't really fixed or improved much

Simple than XCOM:EU (mostly due to less equipment choices). For the challenging part, I did play it on Hard back when it was on the "Buy Omerta, get Con Artist free", and it was ok. Didn't have much trouble, but then again I did take my time to properly build before going for the objectives. Since there isn't a time limit, there wasn't any problems to doing it that way. If you do enable Ironman though, long mission playthroughs may not be advisable.

Oh, and most of the low reviews were due to its price. TotalBiscuit found it interesting, but not $40 interesting. That's why I say that for $11 it may be worth it, if you like that kind of game.

Sounds like it's worth a shot for me then bud. I really like Gangsters, but there were times I feel like I am get a little bogged down, when I wasn't in the mood for that. So maybe this is a good choice for those times when I'm looking for some casual, easier type Gangsta gaming. Thanks for the insight bro :)

Wow! I don't have a single game from both bundles. I own roughly 1/3 of the whole catalog so it was not so easy to achieve ;) But let it stays this way. Sierra games are good, I'm not trying to diminish them but they belong to my past - I did mildly enjoy them when they were released but I don't see myself playing them ever again. And about Omerta... Well, I guess the price is finally fitting to the value it offers but with my backlog I'll just pass

Same for me. WIll probably risk it, not least because the retail version is Steam-infected anyway and the retail version isn't likely to go much below this price.

Thanks for the info JMich.
