Could someone tell me why this game is so bad?
Looks good in the screenshots.

Judging by the reviews, it's the kind of game you either love or hate. It's a bit too intellectually demanding for some, it seems. Gamespot loved it, at least.
Either way, you can't fault Rebellion on their pricing here.
I guess I was unecessarily sharp in my previous outburst. It's just that the Lords of the Realm series never really clicked with me. Number two came closest to winning my adorations, but for the third release I was disappointed by the fact that it's in no way a successor to the second installmant questwise, as well as by the move to inferior 3D graphics.
I agree that for the price point at $5.99 this game is something of a bargain if you like the earlier games in the series. There's four campaings weighing in at around 15 missions each if I recall correctly, as well as a number of standalone singple-player scenarios to play.
So by all means, get this if you enjoy Lords of the Realm.
Nice. Definitely one for the wishlist. :)
Enjoyed the first 2 so might as well buy this to complete the set. Still be 100x better than most AAA games out just now
how good is the series compared to total war games???

DadouXIII: The least good game of the series...
But still interesting, they should have kept it 2D though...
Ugly 3D has nothing on Pretty 2D...
This is one for the wishlist...

Buy Knights of Honor!!!
Its what Lords of the Realm 3 should have been in the graphics department.
(can't comment on the gameplay of LOTR3 though)
2D wonderful isometric sprites!
Knights of Honor is like Lords of the Realm 2 but with better graphics and added features like appointing knights to be spies, clerics, merchants, marshalls, etc.
That being said I will probably pick this LOTR 3 up out of curiosity and a desire to collect.

I second the recommendation for Knights of Honor.

True, still most LotR fans don't give KoH the time it deserves.
I found LotR 3 very disappointing. Knights of Honor filled the void it left as a LotR sequel.

Thanks mate.
Added to wishlist while I wait for GOG users reviews.
At the time, I actually liked this game.
I'm not sure how well it holds up.

It's not bad at all you know?
It's just that it's inferior to the previous installments, and that they tried to do too much with the 3D graphics that ended up to be horrible...

There's probably a demo around somewhere. Although demos just as often put me off good games as they do sell them to me.
I loved Lords of the realm 2, never got around to this one...
and stop calling it LotR :P i keep getting it confused with lord of the rings
