With four games and a bunch of additional content for each one, today's release of Battle Isle Platinum is one of the largest in GOG's history.

Battle Isle Platinum covers a huge chunk of the acclaimed turn-based strategy/tactics series and consists of:
- Battle Isle 1 including Data Disk 1 & Battle Isle ‘93 & Historyline: 1914-1918,
- Battle Isle 2 including Scenery CD “Titan’s Legacy”,
- Battle Isle 3 along with extensive video sequences,
- Incubation and the wilderness missions.
That's easily enough to keep your inner strategist busy for weeks, or months if you work for a living!

So, what is this series about, you ask? It's about strategy and tactics at their very finest. It's about using the units at your disposal to the best of your ability in order to achieve specific goals, rather than building an impenetrable fortress, preparing a massive zerg and spamming your enemy with it, rinse, repeat. Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, the Battle Isle series is about a deep, involving storyline with a huge backstory, both in-game and in "feelies". The latter are, of course, available with our release in digital form.

Go ahead and see for yourself why this series achieved cult classic status.
I think that Incubation would be better off as a separate game. I don't know about these other great games but I'll definitely get the package only because of Incubation alone. And I still think it would be only logical to have them separated.
Great release, thank you! I have some warm memories about this game!
There are a few games that I would instantly buy at any price.

Battle Isle is very much near the top of that list.

Thanks. I love you even more now, GOG!
Oh WOW, I love these games. Must check how much this is; Thank you for bringing these classics here. I am really pleasantly surprised. WoW!

I remember buying Battle Isle on the old Amiga, I didn't know what to expect. Fantastic game. Played Battle Isle 93 too, but map 17 crashed all the time on the Amiga, so never had the chance to finish it. Played both Battle Isle 2, 3, Incubation and Wilderness on the PC. History Line on the old Amiga too. Quality games, recommended!

Thanks for the release, Team GOG & Ubisoft!

I'm guessing the 'Soundtrack' is for Incubation? The OST included with the Limited Edition ran 61'22'' including bonus tracks.

...And for the Team to add to the near-endless backlog or desired extras, the bonus content included with Incubation - Hidden Worlds (via Mobygames):

- 10 Bonus Instant Action maps
- A memory game (4x4 concentration)
And that would be "I will be downloading that now."

Thanks, GoG, I am seriously going to have issues not jumping straight to Incubation (:

This is a Ubisoft release. They've only released one game at the $5.99 price point no matter how unrealistic some of their prices are as a result. So you may as well just think of the other games as freebies.
What a great release!
I just have to say that GOG should make it possible to add some extra information to searches for games. Or if there already is, just add Incubation for this pack. If you search for Incubation on GOG now you get "no games found" as the result and I think there will be more people searching for Incubation than Battle Isle.
Do you think the X-Com series is just too old? And the UFO series too clunky? Then Incubation is the way to go if you want to kill lots of aliens in turn-based mode. Great game.
omg!! thx GOG..i name my nick after one of the monster in Incubation..scay'ger if memory still hold..been a long time so i;m dying to play incubation again :))

domgrief: Blue Byte were one of those rare publishers that had a knack for turning out classics, and I miss most of their games. I remember Settlers II, Archimedean Dynasty, Incubation, BI3, Albion and Dr Dragos Madcap Chase all really fondly.
Yeah. My brother used to work for BlueByte up until just before they were taken over by UbiSoft. They did have some nice ideas and / or had planned to act as publishers for a number of games [including the Multi-player Battle Isle spin off and the like] that were partially quite far along ... but were ditched once BlueByte was "re-focused" on producing sequels to their "core series" by UbiSoft.

The more "realistic" look and the attempts to turn the Settlers into something more akin to real-time strategy came from that direction, too.

It is and was a shame.

I was going to say something positive about Ubisoft but I decided not to.

Yeah, I know but it wasn't about the price ($10 is not that much for a great game). I just hoped to have my Incubation as "Incubation" and not as "Battle Isle Platinum", that's all. But on the second thought it really doesn't matter as long as I can play it, right?
Impressive bundle.
Each game costing about US$1,66 and the package comes with a huge bonus content.
Now that´s what i call bang for the buck!
Splendid series; and now on GOG

I bought the Platinum pack years ago on a flea market for 5€, so i'll pass this one, espacially since it's just the english version as far as I can see (I could choose between english and german)

Maybe I'll buy it at a promo, since my version(s, I got that one twice) of Battle Isle 2 doesn't work correctly
Awesome release, too bad I hate strategy games. :p

Still, all of that for TEN BUCKS is an awesome deal.
