How many devils can dance on one side of a D20?

Dark Dungeons: The Movie, a mock-mockumentary that wants to save your soul by raising awareness of the "satanic cult" that is RPG, is available 40% off on GOG.com. That's only $2.99 for the next 48 hours!

In Dark Dungeons: The Movie, college freshmen Debbie and Marcie are excited to start their new lives at a Pacific Northwest university but after being invited to a Zeta Omega Epsilon party the two suddenly find themselves in the strange and occult world of Role Playing Games. The duo are soon hooked on the highly addictive experience that is RPGing and the game quickly becomes a habit that consumes their lives. After Debbie’s intense pagan training through the RPGs lead her to accept an invitation to join a witches’ coven, her grades begin to plummet and she is in danger of flunking out of college. That's just the beginning of the downward spiral that takes young people dabbling in "role-playing" right to the Devil's doorstep! See the horrors that the contemporary college freshmen are facing daily, and educate yourself to prevent them.

Witness the disturbing truth about the troubled youth and their RPG lifestyle in Dark Dungeons: The Movie, for only $2.99 on GOG.com. The 40% off release discount will last only until Friday, September 26, at 9:59AM GMT.

JudasIscariot: Too many things can go wrong :D

JMich: Come on. What's the worst that can happen?
I don't get it?

Breja: If anyone is interested in such a thing I would recommend this

No only is it funny as hell, but it will also provide some background about the whole "D&D is the devil" thing.
That is hilarious. :D

I remember that I watched Mazes and Monsters back in the day but the movie is obviously worse than I recall. ^^

There was a movie shooting in Aurora back in summer of 2012. The #Aurora hashtag was trending due to that shooting, when the linked tweet was made. Tell me if you want links to the stories.

Just hoping that big new publisher actually does come this year, and GOG's LA office is actually being built for both games and movies, and not just movies.

If you enjoyed it I heartily recommend watching Spoony's other stuff, mostly his Ultima Retrospective. Great stuff, funny and informative.
Does anyone remember the online series called "Fear of girls"?
Released a mere two decades* after most people stopped taking the anti-D&D scare seriously. Timely.

But it's not a documentary and some people actually seem happy to see it here, so I'm not really complaining; progress is being made.

* Three decades, really, but I'm feeling generous

JudasIscariot: Separate shelf :P
Ah, now one other request. I'll send a ticket in about it if it's not already in the works with GOG Galaxy. Specifically, it would be nice to be able to specify a different download location for movies than for games. Right now I have a huge data directory named, creatively enough, "games" that the GOG Downloader points to. I don't see a way to direct movies anywhere else without also changing where games go.

Let me know if I've missed something, or if this feature is slated for Galaxy.

Well, we have old games here, so why not movies with old themes? :)

Now they need to make a film of "The Beast", the Jack Chick tract I keep on my desk at work.

"I looked, and I actually saw the nail prints in our Messiah's hands!"

lol.
Just wanted to say that we're glad that those of you who wished for this movie got what you wished for :) Enjoy!

I'm sure all of them will be pleased ;) http://www.gog.com/wishlist/movies/dark_dungeons

Granted, many more who knew about it but didn't vote are probably happy for seeing it here.
GOG need to contact these guys, apparently their indie movies are good: http://arrowstormentertainment.com/

Just a small correction - your probably meant movies :)

Kunovski: and it gave me a thought - how about introducing Felicia Day's "The Guild"?
avatar
Wishbone: Given that The Guild is freely available online, there might not be a great incentive for people to buy it here.
That was my first thought, Kunovski.

That was also my second thought, Wishbone...

Now go and bother everyone to try and get their hands on Unicorn City ;P! There seems to be no reasonable (legal) way to obtain it...
