I was looking through the never-ending wishlist, seemingly containing all the games that have been made before. And this question came into my head.
Has the GOG team ever rejected a game that wished to be sold here? Maybe that it's not good or old enough.
I have read on the web that GOG did have trouble convincing some publishers, maybe due to the DRM-less nature, but has the opposite ever happened?
I'm interested to know this too. I doubt any games have, but still... worth asking.
Hmmm...
I wonder if Pong got rejected...
high rated
Yes. They had Thief II, System Shock 2, Planescape Torment and Deus Ex all lined up, but they pulled them at the last minute because their simulations revealed the fan rush to buy those games would crash their servers forever.

Pong is the best game ever!!
I bet some people have approached GOG to sell some right old shit. Doubt GOG would expose them, but it would be amusing if they did.

I wouldn't be surprised if game publishers had CD Projekt sign a NDA where CDP could NOT DISCLOSE any of the discussions of what companies and what games wound up in negotiations to possibly join GOG, but in the end never did.
Unless somebody wanted to sell porn or pro-nazi games there is no reason for them to reject a game.
even not so good games have their niche market. Choice is always a good thing.
And pong the best game? Pleeeease. COLGATE FTW!
Well when this magical mystery 3rd publisher finally hits the front page, it'll be one less to speculate about. I'm really not sure if they'd turn anyone and anything down, I think the only way to get an official answer on this is to ask one of the team. Then again, I would totally understand why they can't say a thing about it.
I heard rumours that GOG rejected devs and publisher of The Witcher.....
(NOT TRUE)

I heard there are still some tribes of GOG dudes and CDPRED guys who are still fighting a holy war that began so long ago ....

I hate it when EMOs hate themselves. Gog needs to stop crawling in their skin if they keep trying to reject themselves :p
