Join GOG.com team, and take your part in the DRM-free revolution!

We keep on growing and there's much work to be done. That's why we're looking to expand the GOG.com team. Joining us you'll become a part of a crew unlike most. You'll find yourself among people passionate about gaming, popular culture, and technology. We believe that a relaxed work environment and direct communication between co-workers creates a working atmosphere that inspires creativity and keeps everyday tasks fun. We're all professionals who seek to excel in their respective fields and tend to exceed the expectations while doing their jobs, but that never stops us from enjoying ourselves. Our company philosophy often goes against the flow of the corporate culture, just as much as GOG.com itself stands up to the disputable trends of modern gaming industry! Sounds like something you think you'd enjoy? Head out to our gog.com/WORK sub page, and check if there's a position suitable for you!

We're hiring for many different openings, but there's one job offer in particular, that we'd like to put in the spotlight today. GOG.com is currently searching for a Partnership Marketing Coordinator, a person responsible for setting and driving GOG.com’s marketing messaging and programs to our partners. A competitive salary and a great, laid-back work atmosphere in our office based in Warsaw, Poland (and we can help you to relocate there).

Interested? Check the full ad here for details. Or, if your area of expertise is different, drop by our gog.com/WORK sub page, and see if we have a position well suited for you!

SpiderFighter: ROFL!!!! I actually just went to the profile page , and I already own it!! =D

...and yet...I feel I should buy it again...
You can buy it to gift to someone... Go on,

Also just play the damn game.
I sure wish you folks were more open to the idea of remote workers!

While I definitely grasp the benefits of having folks work face-to-face in the same physical environment with one another, I think you're really shutting out some real talent from applying to some of the positions I've seen posted here over the past months/years by refusing to consider them across the board.

With the rise of Kickstarter projects and the proliferation of the indie scene, you can already see the success that a distributed workforce can achieve. Note all the indie gamers who outsource their voiceover work, or their art creation, etc. GoG could take advantage of this trend as well.

Several of your jobs, particularly those in marketing and communications, could easily be filled by a professional operating on a remote basis outside of Poland. There are an immense amount of collaborative tools and software that can make this process almost seamless. Think webcams, Skype, real-time conferencing, etc.

You should perhaps consider taking a look at some of the people you can find on the major freelancing platforms, like oDesk and Elance. You can get world-class talent there, often at extremely competitive global pay rates. You can find anything from contractors ready to step into executive-level positions all the way down to simple Customer Service Reps.

I'll be crossing my fingers that you eventually decide to start working with people who can't relocate to Poland :)

SpiderFighter: I just had an image of you buffing out a game box like the fender of a '57 Chevy! =D
Well, I do have some very special, to me at least, game boxes that I buff and straighten and just look at in pride on our physical game shelf :)
Pluses: Experience in hunting polar bears: winter is coming, and Warsaw's streets will soon fill with hungry mobs of wild animals...
Gotta love GOG job offers :D

Believe me, I know that feeling, brother! Unfortunately, those "special" shelves were beginning to crowd out the rest of the house. lol

Also: That statement is useless without pictures. =D

Well, I am hoping that I can convince our marketeers to let me make an album of pics to show off on the FB page and elsewhere once the game releases here :)

Oh and each version has the manual to go along with it :)

Oh, I see what you did there!! lol

And yes, that would be great to see. Let me know where I need to call if you want backup. Strictly from another collector's POV, of course.

(Seriously, nice work on the manuals. :) )

So almost every old game that´s released here, it´s stored in Gog headquarters, and they are the real source of the scans, etc?

Love your way, really : )

Judas, I´m a biologist, that´s not very much related to Gog xD but I have been working as cell phone/internet customer support and I have some computer knowledge (mostly related to oldie computer games).

Is there any way of send my cv, even no applicating one of the available job offers?

Well, we do list work AT gog.com as an email address on the work pages, so I guess you can try sending it there :)

You can by all means send in applications even if there is no current job opening that fits your experience and skills, you never know when we might need someone like YOU! :)

Woot! A new blue guy (or gal), recently hired as well. Welcome to the forums, don't be a stranger. I assume your responsibilities are Human Resources?

Magmarock: I'd love to work for GOG but I don't think I'm qualified and I live in Australia.
Well, it can never hurt to send in your application - perhaps your qualifications may be a good fit.
As for living in Australia, hey, if you're ready to experience something totally new and relocate to Warsaw, it's not a problem that you live down under :) In fact, we've got quite a few foreigners at our office already.

Thank you for the warm welcome :)
You are absolutely correct about my responsibilities, so will try and be as active as possible helping out in any HR related questions/comments on here!

I think you will do awesome : )! And thank you for the tip : D! I have been wandering at Gog for years, but until now, I didn´t know about the awesome support team (Genoan, JuriJ, etc); they have helped me a lot, and I would love to follow their steps and help Gog customers like they did to me : )
