Hm, time to grab a copy of this. And I guess everyone is over at the release thread?
Excellent, I was looking at this last night! Insta-buy, although I thought my RPG backlog was reducing, not increasing :D

edit: grr, JMich, I thought I'd beaten you ;)

Nah, I just didn't want to post again, that I already have this game on Steam. :D
Do people praise this thing because it's a good RPG or because it has an interesting story?

It's a solid RPG in the vein of the Avernum series (unsurprisingly). The story is good, though, and the combat is satisfying if a bit easy to old grognards like me.

Shouldn't that be old gognards? Or have I missed out on the free grog again?

Sorry the length of the game?
I was hoping for Avernum: the complete saga promo, but this will have to do for now.

The story has an interesting political twist as opposed to the usual "level up before the final boss".
The interface could use some work, unfortunately.

Ah. It depends. If you're a slowpoke like me, I think it takes around 120 hours. (For comparison, Baldur's gate took me nearly 300 hours. I'm not good at these things, okay?!?)

I believe the official line is 50 hours or so.
