As per subject. Not those luxury houses, just the normal apartment ones, flats or single houses that humble working people live in. Just curious and I want to make comparisons.
About an arm, a leg and a kidney. Possibly your balls, too.

Which is how much in figures?
A decent house in my city is about $150,000.

Some interesting statistics there based on inside big cities, outside cities, affordability index, etc.

Ditto. Where I live a house cost roughly as much as a tool shed where my brother lives.
In the city I live in you would pay ca. $90k for new, 50 m^2, ordinary flat.

Really cheap houses I see, at least in Roman's link. What's with us paying at the very minimum USD82K for a pigeon hole apartment with only one living room and one room. And that's government built flats which are on sale for citizens. Not talking about resale pigeonhole flats that costs around 400K-1m for a 3room (1 living + rooms) to 5room(1 living + 4 rooms) flats.
Around half a million to over a million dollars, depending on the area. And that's not including the cost of the land. Should also mention that people don't tend to buy pre-existing houses. The norm is to buy/rent a plot of land and build a new house.

As for apartments, that'll be anywhere from 200 dollars a month to 3 or 4 thousand dollars a month - again depending on area and size.

That was Cork, here's Dublin (The Capital of the country)

Pretty average house is around $500,000. Decent house is closer to $1 mill.
About 3-4 000 000 moneys. Our moneys, not your moneys.
In my city a normal one-family-house with 100 m² around 150k - 200k.
But this is a rural area....only 25 km away you can double it.
Australia is a big country. In suburban Melbourne 'first homes' cost around $400K (AUD). This will get you a 3BR in the middle suburbs or 4BR in the outer suburbs through.

I get upset whenever Australians complain about how hard they have it. The costs are this high because:

A: We have a lot of wealth.

B: The amount of property and land we expect is a lot.
