If we're on the subject of [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/the_witcher_2/]The Witcher 2, we wondered have you already met the GOG Monk in the game? Did you manage to win the dice game with him? And most importantly have you checked the reward you get? If not yet, than you should do it as soon as you're back into the world of The Witcher. The GOG Monk's offer is valid only until August 17th!
Um, wait... I can buy those games at a discount even if I don't own Witcher 2?

Yes you can , just use the link .

Frankly , I do not think that it is much of a discount to offer - at least not considering the usual offers....

You *could*. But every time that someone does, I hear that somewhere, a marmoset dies.

I have no idea why it's marmosets.

At least your psyching him does not claim that it is Angels that dies so the "marmoset dies" argument probably works best on "enviromentalists". On the other hand then had you used the argument that an Angel would die each time then that might have got a hell of a lot of Satanists to buy instantly .... :-D

Somehow . . . I find it sad that this offer was even in the Witcher game.
I beat him twice.

After he mumbled something of me not being worthy and didn't notice any "reward" whatsoever.

Cook: The bug is fixed in the 1.3 version of the game and works - we checked it and it really, really works.
I'm sorry, but it is annoying to hear that something that was intended to be working since a start is fixed until now( last patch).
my friends have a perception that CDPR does not have any quality for their product, and don't get me wrong I love the CDPR style ( no DRMS, free DLC's and so on, a small company making state of the art+ games) and games( I love the witcher 1). however i have to agree witcher 2 looks that there were no quality on the software life cycle
hopefully CDPR will release the Xbox version with no errors because imagine how difficult could be to fix issues on consoles that not necessarily are logged or have a Xbox live account, may or may not have a hard drive or space.
im not downloading or starting to play the game till its perfect :D don't want some annoying bug to ruin the game for me, plenty of time left............

You need to beat him with 2 pairs.

marmosets comes from the French "marmouset". Marmouset initially designed small satirical figures of pagan deities that were still commonly found in medieval France. Gallo-Romans had used them to bring luck on their households. The custom survived in Christian Europe for some time through beliefs of small wild creatures living in the woods and making fun out of men and stealing their gold. Houses were often ornate with heads of "wild men". By extension the term designated the members of the court of king Charles VI Valois "the mad king", because these counsellors were not nobles or even clerics, yet confiscated the higher functions of the state.

If marmosets don't die, someone is not going to get their Marmite. We wouldn't want that now would we? :D

My experience in the first reply is from an 1.3 replay of the game just from the other day. 1.3 added the memories viewer, no? So I was playing 1.3 since after I beat him I thought that's my reward, since this thing didn't actually work.

Um, if everything worked from the start there would be no need for patches, so yes, whenever you see a patch released you know it's for something that didn't work properly. Like, duh. And it's very common in both PC and console games these days. Game development is a little more complex now than in the 80s/90s. Though RPGs almost always were some of the buggiest due to their complexity. Also, you're complaining for a discount offer. Not a critical game feature. Or did the back of the box promise you such a discount (which you can still get!)?

I mean, I agree that the game should have launched at a better state and it still needs many more improvements before I'd consider it complete but I wouldn't attack them for offering us this, lol. It's a discussion for another place really.

Witcher 2 Moves Gamer to Tears
Hmm, let's see. 20% off. Should I get some of these titles that I want or wait for a better sale?

Doesn't seem all that fantastic to me.

Maybe a Christmas sale would be better?

FiatLux: ...Angels...
How about each time that someone who doesn't own TW2 uses the discount, someone somewhere opens the box and gets torn apart by (or becomes one of) the Cenobites? Yeah, I've been on a horror movie kick recently. ;-)
