adaliabooks: Although if it's going to start this weekend I probably won't be able to post much as I'm working. I should still get a chance to read posts and might sneak a post in. So as long as that's not a problem.
I was planning to get everything set up within a couple days after sign-ups closed. So, sometime this weekend will probably be a good estimate for when the game will start. The good news is that activity is generally lighter in these games over weekends, and it will be the first game Day as well (usually they take a little bit longer to get going as people random vote and feel each other out). You should be fine, regardless. :)

budejovice: How was Lassen?

I climbed it on one of the open weekends in 2011 and nearby Brokeoff (in the park) in 2012. Just drove through the area a few weeks ago.

For Labor Day I was actually not all that far away - I could see Shasta from the summits of Drake, Bald, and Crane in southern Oregon. :)
We enjoyed the park a lot.
We climbed Lassen Peak on Saturday. The views were amazing. Actually thought of you when we reached the very top, as I assumed it was a COHP (just checked, Shasta Co.).
However, since we're both kind of old (fiftyish) and not particularly athletic, we're still aching all over. Was worth it, though.
Accordingly, Sunday's hikes were lighter. Three miles to Bumpass Hell (a.k.a. Mini-Yellowstone) and a couple of miles round Lake Manzanita was all we could muster.

I saw somewhere (probably mafia 22) that you were visiting the park, but didn't know that you were planning to climb. Super cool! Congrats on the summit. I wish I had seen more of the park, but my girlfriend at the time got to tour various areas while I was climbing and the photos were cool. Brokeoff is the Tehama cohp, so that was a must as well.

My very first mountain was a doozy - St. Helens. My quads ached for a week. :)

In addition to being a county highpoint, and national park highpoint etc etc, Lassen is one of only 57 ultraprominent peaks in the Lower 48. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra-prominent_peak

TheGOGfather: (Not to Rob and flub, though. I need to force them to let themselves add on players list:-p)
Thanks....

FYI, there was a rather large deposit made recently into my PayPal account of Gold Pressed Latinum.

I plan on buying a trainload of freshly oiled supermodels and sprinkle them around my swimming pool filled with bourbon.

...or maybe I'll get a chocolate house.

Make your choice depending on where you live. If you live in a hot place, the chocolate house will melt, and it will be a pain to clean/eat, so go with the supermodels. If it's a cold place, while the bourbon filled pool will still be an excellent idea, the supermodels will start complaining and wish to clothe themselves, thus deducting quite a bit from the experience. The chocolate house would be better in that case.

For mild weather, I'd say go with both ;)

Great, I'll probably be ok. I managed to follow the last game in between working and I wasn't even in that one. Just got a very busy weekend ahead so I wanted to make sure it wasn't a problem.

I live in Texas (where bad people go when they die) so perhaps chocolate covered supermodels??

I rolled a two on my decision making skill, so I may just have to have a drink on it and consider.....
I'll try once more. Hopefully with less lurking for once. (Note to self: Try and finish posts before they reach 3 paragraphs and you've forgotten what your original point was...) :P
Backup #3.
Well then. This game filled up quickly (and I am happy for it)!

I'll try to get the OP and role PMs out later today or tomorrow. It will probably be tomorrow.
