michaelleung: Interesting how people used to put profanity in thread titles before but nobody cared, and now the staff is having to modify thread titles, but they couldn't care less about the worthless content inside them.
It's almost as though the sites growing, and establishing new processes and standards...

You say this, but there were to my knowledge, four threads with "fucking" in the title in GOG's three-year forum history since it was created until I got here.

It's not a very high bar I'm setting here. >.>

EDIT: Also, I can't read every thread; I have a department to run.

If you're looking for some kind of community guy or someone to actually read and reply to the support e-mails, I'm currently looking for a job ;)

gameon: Every web forum has moderators. I'm sure high rep posters would jump at the chance. You could have a team of people doing it.
Paying me is still the better way to go because employees can be held to a much higher standard than just regular forumgoers. Also, I want money.

Rep isn't everything. My rep is pretty high, but I wouldn't trust myself to be a good moderator.
A moderator is like a policeman. He enforces the law and catches the crooks!

gameon: Wishbone: Sure, i was just thinking of something that would justify a forum user for being a moderator. I'm not sure what else would qualify them.
A twiddlable mustache.

I'm sure you would have got there in the end.
How peculiar... both the site AND the program seem to be working for me...

I must be a WIZARD!!!

I used to have a handlebar mustache, back in the day. But the mustache and the hat combined were too much awesome for an unprepared person to encounter. I caused seven cases of spontaneous combustion. For the good of everyone, it had to end. ;)
