Hi I hear so many great things about this game.

I have a xbox360 and pc. The PC is not that powerful maybe like 5 years old.

I am confused with the order of the game and will like to start from the beginning. Is the fallout 1 on xbox360?

I see it is on gog but there is also a collection on amazon. Does gog fallout version work better. I would prefer to support gog.com

Also, I know fallout 3 is positive on xbox 360. Is that a good game to buy for the xbox 360?

Fallout 1 and 2 were PC exclusives. Go ahead any buy them on GOG, they will work on your PC. Check their specific forums for good mods and such to make playing them today easier. They are overhead 2D turn-based strategy RPGs.

Fallout 3 and 4 (New Vegas) were released on Xbox 360 and PS3 and are much different games, open world shooters with RPG elements basically.

Fallout will knock you senseless, then steal your money and sleep with your mother if you go in without at least some understanding of the game. Thankfully there's a bunch of people here who make excellent cock blocks and put locks on your wallet. You'll have to pay them for the key though, which of course the money is in your wallet, so good luck with that.



Fallout here on GOG works fine, it is a challenge for a newbie player mind you, especially when you have to figure out movement, the alternation of turn-based to free-motion play, using the menus, figuring out stat building, exploration, and some pretty nasty baddies that kill you silly if you wander into the wrong place. (Example: See Super Mutant Behemoth. Now imagine you have to fight 3 of them as a level one and all they gave you were some heavy boots and a brick to throw at them. I imagine you have a good idea now since you mentioned the 360 title)

Fallout 1 and 2 came out in 1997/1998, so you should have no problems running them on your computer.

Fallouts from wherever work fine, though some programs can screw with things (I went made trying to find out why one wasn't working, turns out it didn't like ATItrayTools.

You should have no problems running Fallout 1 & 2 on your PC - and yes, you should get the GOG versions because of all the support available, and the great community here.

With regard to Fallout 3 and New Vegas, I recommend using Can You Run It at http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ which should determine if your PC meets the minimum requirements. You might have to reduce graphical settings on both of these to get a smooth framerate on PC - something you don't have to deal with on the console version, obviously.

If you do decide to get Fallout 3, get the GOTY version which comes with all the DLC on the disk. Both the PC and Xbox 360 versions are great - and I actually prefer playing them with an X360 controller (both on PC and console).

Fallout New Vegas can be quite buggy at times, even after patching/updates on both PC and console. Still a great game, although personally I prefer Fallout 3.

My toaster of a netbook can run Fallout so a real PC shouldn't have any trouble doing so...

I played Fallout 1 & 2 on my first computer, which I got back in 1997. Any computer made on this side of the millennium shift (that has either Windows (Fallout 2) or has an OS compatible with Dosbox (fallout 1)) will be able to run Fallout 1, 2 & tactics.

F2 was my first contact with cRPG and I can hardly think of game that beats that experience.
But I would recommend you to start from F1 and then move to F2 - it's basicvally the same game as F1 but bigger and better in every aspect.
