Even though they're increasing the steam key only bundles now, the majority of Humble Bundle are DRM free and playable without steam.

I hereby correct you!

DedIago: Good thread, good idea, thanks.

However, there were mentioned Humble links. Correct me please if I'm wrong, but I thought that Humble sells only Steam keys, and 'DRM-free' there means 'DRM-free Steam' (not DRM-free in fact).
Partially true, partially not. A lot of humble bundles is still DRM-free, a lot of games sold in Humble Store and Humble Widgets is Drm-free (or goes with Drm-free) too Its basically up to developer(probably), since i dont see any system in why some games go with or without drm-free installers.

No. Humble does sell both DRM-Free and Steam-only games. To give you an example, I have attached a picture of the Triumph and Larian bundle.

And in addition to what Grargar said, Humble never lables anything 'DRM-free' if it's just a Steam key (in fact, I have yet to see any store who officially calls Steam games DRM-free - the only people who do that are community members not affiliated with the stores). If Humble explicitly offers a 'DRM-free' version for a game, you can be sure it's a direct download.

Many thanks to all who answered. Now I realise what Humble is, and it's good news that there are really DRM-free games.

Except in VERY particular cases like Starbound, which is labeled DRM-free yet there is no direct download, only a Steam key. ;) In that case the top of the game page does state that DRM-free builds will be added in the future, but it would surely be less misleading if they didn't label it DRM-free until they can actually offer such downloads.
Shall we start? :)
Well i for one don't typically use Steam (except for Skyrim (dammit)) so I wouldn't mind seeing a GoG only type take one leave one thread.

after all, it's not like anyone is FORCED to participate. If the thread isn't to your liking just don't use it. It's really that simple.
I only fear, that after a short while the thread will stagnate because the usual suspects will give Corsair Gold, Amerzone - The Explorer Legacy and other bundled GOG keys.

Hmm seems there is always some fly in the ointment, but I guess there could be even MORE specific rules in place... but I'm not familiar with all the "tricks" that are used in these threads.

Silly me, thinking it was all pretty straightforward.

... I'm usually FAR more cynical. :P
Okay.

Yay! Good idea to make a DRM-free version of this thread. As soon as I have something to give away, I will drop it off here. :-)

RodionRomanovich: Hello,

I will give away King's Bounty: The Legend http://www.gog.com/game/kings_bounty_the_legend on gog.com

to anyone who will send me Overlord + Raising Hell https://secure.gog.com/game/overlord_raising_hell

If Overlord is on gog.com also, it will be appreciated.

Thank you.
I'm afraid that you misunderstood the purpose of this thread, it's not about directly trading DRM-free games, it's a "paying it forward" thread - you take a game on offer and leave another game for someone else to claim, you may even offer a game without taking anything.
As the OP says, it's the DRM-free version of this :
How it works: post the name of your giveaway game, and if someone asks for it, then they have to giveaway a game as well, which must be gifted to someone other than the person who gifted them.
If direct trading is what you're looking for you'd be better off posting [url=https://secure.gog.com/forum/general/gogs_general_trading_thread]here. :-)
Edited message. Thanks for pointing that out.
