JudasIscariot: Hi all,

Please re-download the patch for D: OS as we found an error that would delete your saves, regardless whether you chose to keep them or not, during the uininstall process.

Please make sure you have downloaded patch_divinity_original_sin_2.3.0.7.exe.

Thanks and sorry for doubleflagging :)
Does the error exist in the current 2.3.0.6 version of the full installer?

No, it shouldn't :)

reaver894: regional pricing or the GOG standard?
avatar
JudasIscariot: Yes, there will be regional pricing as I stated here:

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/divinity_original_sin_on_gogcom_bstatus_updateb/post5
I'm very sorry for the probably silly question, I'm just not 100% sure I understand what regional pricing means and it would be nice if I got confirmation from the GOG team:

If the game costs 39.99 dollars, does that mean that I'll have to pay 39.99 euros and will get the difference in codes? I'm asking because I will pay with paysafecard, so I want to know if I should buy a 30 euro one or a 40 euro one (since 40 dollars is 30 euros). Thank you very much.

Almost. The price you see in the store is the price you'll pay, and if it's higher than the US price, you'll get some bonus codes in return. Take a look at The Witcher 3 for an example.

Baseline price = $39.99.

In some regions it might come out as 39.99 EUR, so you'll get the difference back in codes :)

(I say "some regions" because I don't know which regions will have what prices and I am using 39.99 EUR simply as an example price.)

The Witcher 3 doesn't exactly help me, because it shows euros in the first place for me. I'm asking for games such as Divinity Original Sin which won't show the euro price as far as I can tell. You said 'Almost', so what did I get wrong? :/

Thank you very much for replying! Now I can get the 40 euro paysafecard without worrying I'll have leftover money in it :P.

The almost part is because a $39.99 game may not be €39.99, but €34.99 for example. I've no idea of D:OS price, but Judas did say it's €39.99, so all's well :)

Any way, if the price is displayed in €, then you pay in €, if the price is in $, then you pay in $, though I'm not sure how that works with PaySafe :)

I was using that as an example myself :)

DashiDMV: Thanks for the answer. Now for the real question. Is it true you are in negotiations with Cleveland M Blakemore to obtain exclusive digital rights to his Magnum Opus Grimoire and make it a killer app for GoG Galaxy? ITZ the game Robert Sirotek is scared of you know.
http://grimdarkly.wordpress.com/gallery-2/ - screenshots certainly seem to make it out to be something GOG fans would want here. I don't know if complete exclusivity is the best idea, though.

I just did but the patch does not seem to install. I get an error message (see error log contents). When I launch the game it says v1.0.47.0 in the launch screen.

any ideas?
I tried to download the new installer for the complete game using the GOG downloader and got "checksum error on chunk 3, please contact support!".

Then I tried to contact support here.
I chose "Technical issues with games" and clicked on "continue".
I came to a knowledge database in which was nothing that could help me.
So I clicked on "Can't find the answers you're looking for? - Contact Us" which led me to the first page again.
After going through the loop for a few times I decided to post here.

if i recall correctly, this happends when the downloader ran out of tries.

Just restart the download, to see if it's just a temporary issue .

I recall to have a game in the same situation , and i resolved the issue by restarting the download, sure it's a waste of time & bandwith.

I have exactly the same problem. It seems to me that there's some bad karma going around with this game. Someone should really check and double check the installers and patches before they make them available...

Regarding the support it seems that because Original Sin is not part of the "catalog" it's impossible to post technical issues for it. I'll try to circumvent this by sending the issue to the "problems with your order" category as it lets you pick your order rather than the game...
I tried it again now, two times. And both times I got the error at around 236MB of download. :-(
