Arghmage: Nothing is really lost in the internet.

As you can see they posted it at the 22nd January

"Today Curse and GOG.com announced a new partnership which gives all Curse Premium Members their choice of one of GOG's most popular titles - FREE! This offer applies to all current Premium members and all new Premium subscriptions purchased between now and December 31, 2014. "

https://web.archive.org/web/20140122205407/http://www.curse.com/news/curse/49289-curse-premium-membership-now-includes-a-free-game
Thanks for the link! It is also stated there: "If you are already a premium member, you can claim your free game anytime by following these steps:" followed by the instructions to getting the game.

I wonder whether GOG knows that Curse is not fulfilling their part of the partnership, incriminating GOG and undermining GOG's public image with lies about "expiration issues".

I'm pretty sure GOG would never do such a thing as making the keys "expire" prematurely. But some people may now get such an idea!

or maybe they have run at of gOg keys due to the Humble deal and now gOg is not giving them anymore?

it is always someone else fault - right?
Regardless of who's fault it is, GOG needs to do something about this. This kind of thing is liable to land them and/or Curse a lawsuit.

ChunRide.824: I purchased Humble Bundle Weekly: Gamepedia Presented by Curse.

The bundle includes Curse Premium 30-Day Subscription.
According to Humble Bundle and Curse, Curse Premium offers many other benefits including: "One free game from GOG.com"

But I cannot receive it, so I contact Curse support.
Curse said: "We realize that the GOG code isn't working due to an expiration issue. Since we're not able to revive these codes, the only option we have is to give you an additional Curse Premium subscription instead."

According to Announcement: Curse.com Partnership (http://www.gog.com/news/announcement_partnership_with_cursecom)
The partnership offer remains valid at least until December 31, 2014.

So,
Why cant I receive my free GOG game???
We have terminated our agreement with Curse.com. If you have received a GOG.com code and it doesn't work, please write to our Support department and we'll help you out with that code. Thanks :)

Interesting. Was there an announcement about this? Maybe we need a version of this thread for changes at GOG itself?
That makes sense that GOG probably did not consent for Curse to discount bundle it's membership resulting in a slew of GOG key releases without GOG's permission or input; which is also unfair to the developers of those games.

No, there wasn't an announcement that I know of other than what I just stated above your post :)

I'll second that, as GOG has been doing updates lately, such as the new login screen, and now this termination of the Curse partnership. And like the OP said in the "What did just update?" thread, we don't need 10 question threads popping up every time GOG does a change to their site. :P

Can you elaborate please on why the agreement with Curse was terminated early? The GOG news page still states that it lasts until at least December 31, 2014 and in case that gets edited screengrab is here: http://i.imgur.com/mJwYZPP.png

Clearly the timing of this abrupt decision is due to the Humble Bundle Weekly including a free month of Curse which included one free game from GOG. Humble even promoted that up until a couple of days ago when they removed it from their page.

Was GOG unhappy with the number of people redeeming the offer via the Humble Bundle? Considering the offer was abruptly terminated much earlier than previously stated I feel like some sort of further explanation is in order.

So I take it we have to contact gog support to get our code and not curse's support?
So here's a question :

Is it possible to donate the Curse Code ?

Anyone interested ?

If you've already received a GOG code and it doesn't work, please contact us and we'll fix it.

If you were supposed to receive one but haven't yet, please contact Curse.
The Code I have I believe is for the 30 day Premium account trial - something I'll never use.

Anyone interested ?
