First, just in case anyone has no idea what I'm talking about: link.

I've seen this game mentioned on several sites over the past few weeks, and always with very positive comments. However, so far it's only been available on Steam and XBLA, neither of which are relevant distributions platforms for me. However, I just noticed that it has now showed up on Gamersgate as well (link), and is listed as DRM Free on top of that.

So I wanted to ask folks here if they've played it, and if so what were their impressions. And also, if anyone has picked it up on Gamersgate yet, and if so if the listed (lack of) DRM is accurate.
I haven't got it on GamersGate (or anywhere for that matter), but when I asked them a few weeks ago if the game was coming out anywhere but Steam they said it was going to be DRM free on GG. It probably is really DRM free apart from GG's stupid downloader.
It is fucking awesome and you should buy it!

No really, it is that cool. We're talking Braid level of artwork, gameplay as fun as you had with Diablo, and the narrator, oh man, that guy is awesome.

Seriously the narration is like Morgan Freeman for games. He just sounds so smooth!
It's meh.

The gameplay is boring, the narrator got on my nerves, and I didn't care much for the story.

It seems that I'm one of the few people who didn't like Bastion though, so you probably won't agree with me.

Despite the rave reviews, this is why I haven't yet taken the plunge. I don't find the Just Keep Frantically Clicking Until the Monsters Die genre all that engaging. How would you rate Bastion on a scale from 1 to tendonitis?

Yeah, it's this guy http://www.giantbomb.com/logan-cunningham/72-99847/ and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets some serious voice roles after this (maybe in animation or somewhere else).

Well, first of all I played with a controller on the 360, you won't get tendinitis with a game pad, at least I don't think you will. If you managed to play DA2 or something you should have no problem (based on my experience with the DA2 demo of boredom inducing clicking).

100% agree with this man though I do think the artwork is better. :) He did miss the soundtrack, though. The soundtrack is... wow. You can check out the soundtrack here: http://supergiantgames.bandcamp.com/

Played Bastion for a few hours last night even though I intended to only play it for one hour. One of those few moments where I kept thinking "one more level" and notice it's many hours past the time I wanted to be in bed. :)

Actually I found the soundtrack so amazing I bought a signed copy at PAX (signed by the team).

Lucky you! I am still waiting for mine to be shipped in the mail. I do love at checkout it had a tick box saying "No, I want my copy to be clean and signature free" or something like that. :)
If there is a demo that doesn't require Steam, I'd suggest trying it out. I played the demo and it just wasn't for me. The premise sounded awesome, the narrator was pretty good, and the artwork wasn't interesting, but the gameplay just didn't work for me.

Perhaps it gets better after the demo levels/areas, but I just didn't enjoy the game very much. But a lot of people seem to like it, so it might be a gem I can't seem to appreciate. Which is weird, because I'd actually like to.
Is he trying to do Ron Perlman or Tom Waits?

Waitaminute, I know Tom doesn't just sound like this...:

It is awesome and everyone should play it. It has its limitations, but for the price point its just excellent :D

I wrote a review on it a couple days ago if anyone's interested:

Hmm, I wonder if they changed the extra secret skill you can get on New Game+ for the DRM free version or whether they just omitted it?

Those who know what that skill is, will know why I'm asking. Shame there's no spoiler tags on this forum as I don't really want to spoil what that skill is for those with the Steam version.

Possibly, though I doubt Valve would object the free publicity.
