The only Game that got my interest in this sale is Desperados (though I highly recommend Blood 1 and 2 and Total Annihilation for pretty much everyone!).

Looks a lot like Commandos, can anyone tell me if it plays the same too?

It plays in much the same way. It's more akin to Commandos 1 than Commandos2 but don't let that be viewed as a negative.

It's a absolutely brilliant game, with an equally good (and tough) sequel. Highly recommend it, I do.

I like Commandos, I really do. But what pisses me off in the games is the perfection you have to achieve to succeed. The precision in your movements is almost ridiculous - seriously!

I like hard games (and like a lot of GOGers I think most games nowadays are waaay too easy), and sometimes insane difficult is amusing (super meat boy), but in Commandos I thought it to be too much!

But thanks, I will buy it and see it! Maybe it's the Commandos I always wanted.

Already have Master Of Orion 1+2 and Total Annihilation: Commander Pack. Those two plus Dark Reign + Expansion were my first purchase from GOG.

Bought everything in this sale except for Locomotion, Master of Magic, Master of Orion 3 and Star Control 3.

14 classic games for $45.86, thank you GOG!

Not counting the Interplay and D&D sales, this has to be the best promo I've seen since I joined. Tons of awesome+ games at a flat 50% discount, some of them recent releases. My wishlist is going to get a lot shorter this weekend. Thank you, GOG!

Looks like I'll be picking up Desperados and Alone in the Dark: the New Nightmare here from GOG, as well as Tomb Raider Underworld from Steam (66% off for the weekend).

It's always fun adding a few new games to the collection.

And thanks Steam for listening to our suggestions / complaints about the pricing system on the sales. If this had been the tiered type of sale, I doubt I would have gotten anything (I'm not getting enough to make that type of sale worth it).

Oops, meant to say, "Thanks GOG for listening..." My bad.


I don't think Steam listens to often to it's users, which is why I put GOG as number 1 on my preferred DD.

Such a tempting sale. I've had Outcast wish-listed for a while, and I wouldn't mind "upgrading" my Alone in the Dark disks/CDs... I will consult the spirits.
