We're fighting the depressing weather that announces the inevitable approach of autumn with an awesome weekend promo!

Not so long ago we had the Atari-Hasbro games on promo, and this weekend we're putting the 20(!) remaining titles from Atari on offer! So how about getting some of the greatest classics from the Atari catalogue with a flat 50% discount? Get a half-off on The Witcher: Enhanced Edition (only $4.99), Roller Coaster Tycoon series, Outcast ($2.99), Master of Orion series, Alone in the Dark games ($2.99 each) and more! No matter how many games you buy, you get the 50% discount. Check the [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/atari_collection]promo page to see the whole offer and don't wait as the promo ends on Monday, October 17 at 11:59 a.m. EDT.
Bah! Mid-month promos....don't you know I get paid at the end of each month oh GOG??!

No money left now for I-War 1+2, was waiting for a promo for them as well.

Never mind, pick em up next time (*repeat to self 'must save money for GOG promos'*)

Zeewolf: Also, Master of Orion 2 is perhaps the best 4X strategy game ever. Just saying, in case someone were thinking of clicking the check out button without having ticked the MOO 1+2 pack. That would be a mistake.
Absolutely. If anyone remotely interested in 4x strategy have not yet bought this masterpiece, please do so now! :)
I have been really working to save money and not get too spendy lately, but seems this sale is going to break me. Would be great to get the RCTs despite having the discs still, and Desperados is awfully tempting. Then again, have yet to get The Witcher 1 here as I have been meaning to do for some time.

Argh, so many things to decide on now!

pdedinski: Locomotion is a Tycoon Game, sequel to Chris Sawyer's Transport Tycoon. Nice attempt, but not much successful.
Thanks, I think I'll give it a pass. I've bought too many games here already "just because it was there". :)

To anyone who knows, question about Blood 2 and Independence War 1-2:

How is the Windows 7/64bit compatibility? None of them are marked as Win7 compatible, but:

1. For Blood 2, it seems it is working for quite many, at least after some tweaking. Some occasional crashes etc., right? At least that's how I understood from the forum posts.

2. Independence War 1-2 aren't marked Win7 compatible either, yes the little I checked the forum, I don't see any big problems reported and most seem to be running them ok in Win7?

3. Does I-War 1 come with some Glide (3Dfx) wrapper by default, or it will use whichever I've installed on my Windows machine (currently using nGlide in Win7/64bit)?

I have a WinXP machine as a fallback, but of course I would prefer Win7 compatibility as well. I guess I will get at least Independence War 1, as I didn't realize the original CD version (which I have) has problems installing/running even in XP due to 16-bit installer program, same as with e.g. Dune2000.

gamez79: is it safe to skip Roller Coaster tycoon 1 and go straight to 2 or will i be missing out on something if I did?

wizall: I had/have the same question. There doesn't seem to be consensus. I added both to the cart, but not sure if 1 will stay there. Here's the thread.

RC1 or RC2?
I have RCT 1 already and love it, but was wondering myself if 2 was still worth getting. Seems the consensus in that thread is that RCT2 is the best sandbox game of the two, while the first has the best scenarios (and does not have a sandbox mode). Still, wouldn't mind more opinions on the scenarios in the sequel versus the first one, since I'm mostly interested in objective-based maps.
Snapped up B-17, both Total Annihilation games and Outcast. Considering Desperadoes too. Great sale.

My wishlist is shrinking, my shelf is growing.
Meanwhile Steam sorta crashed so GoG may get extra money for allowing me to put stuff in the cart.
Well played GOG .. well played ! Bought 5 titles!

Ahh and another one goes in. What am I? A billionaire?
I'm poor...

I shouldn't be spending money on this! Damn you for forcing me to do this.
Well, one game in my wish list can now be removed.

Tell me about it. I intended to pickup 6 games, but somehow managed to pick 7 at the checkout. I'm just glad I already had about 5 or 6 of these games from the previous Atari sale. I make it a deal where I only buy from sales, those which I am interested in playing.
Really nice sale, lots of interesting games.

I wouldn't have minded a tiered promo for this one: with 5% discount for each title, even starting at 0%, I would have bought them all ;)

HINT: there's 20 games in the promo...

I always wanted to try B17 and TA: Kingdoms. I guess now is the right time to try them out.

I refuse on the grounds my completionist side would make me get 3! *shudder*
