I just like Baldurs Gate and i wonder if there is anything in the indie section that i should consider.

Obsidian is working on Project Eternity. It should come out next year, so I hope you're not in a hurry.

I've not played them myself but I believe the Spidersweb stuff (Geneforge, Avernum) are meant to be pretty hardcore and a bit retro

Depends on what you like about BG in particular. AFAIk there's no game that's exactly like it, but maybe there's one which comes close to it in a specific regard that you set store in.

Haven't played any Baldur's Gate (please don't kill me) since I've not been able to buy it but you could try the Eschalon Books, I'm playing Book I and having a blast, well made old-school like RPG for sure. :)
