This video, to me, is a good representation of what CD PROJEKT is all about. I seriously cannot wait for The Witcher 3. Aside from Rome 2 (which was a total disaster in my opinion), TW3 will be the second game I ever pre-ordered.

Too bad I'll be in Poland on May 13th; I wonder if I could stop by their office. :P

I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did!

Go to their office and just stare in through a window for hours. Tell them I sent you if anyone comes round to ask.

They'll know what it means.

Are you being serious? I really would like to visit them, but wouldn't want to intrude.
Nice, I was hoping for a video from this trip. I knew Jesse Cox and Dodger were going, but I didn't know it was a whole host of youtubers.

I remember a thread where another Goglodyte mentioned having just shown up there (they were on a trip to Warsaw in other business, if I remember correctly, and so took the chance to visit CDP) and was welcomed quite nicely.

That is impressive. Most companies would not do this.
I'm going to be near there the end of this summer but not close enought to stop by, sadly.
I just contacted them via email, hopefully I get to go see them!
I just skipped through it a bit since these kinds of videos don't really interest me, but those workspaces looked horrible.
All those guys were so close to each other that they were about to merge into one giant blob of human flesh.
Or was that just a room for the 'Youtubers' to play W3 in?

No, I'm pretty sure that those are the typical office rooms. I didn't see anything wrong with them, but to each their own.
7:53. I think I've seen "Ciri" in a porno.

If you mean the room where everyone had just one screen (und just enough space on the desk for said screen and a keyboard)... my guess is that it's the QA department. I've seen several studios where the "creative" guys had a decent amound of space but the QA testers had to squeeze into an overpopulated room.

Edit: Okay, took a closer look at the video (first just scrolled through it). Most of the rooms look ridiculously densely populated. I don't think I could focus with two people breathing into my ears at all times.

Me too but I won't complain :o)

Another look at the trip by Melonie Mac, more informal:

I like the "Witcher" backpack, it seems of good quality. The music composer's room is cool too...

Yes, that's why I thought perhaps it was a special room/department.
Usually people get more space for larger or multiple monitors and such.
But perhaps it's just the Polish coder dungeon or something.

It's not. I guess it's rather a typical company that has grown an insane lot without moving to a larger building (or getting a second one).

This is a good CD Projekt Red interview by GameSpot:

No, it's not a QA department. I don't have pics from RED QA room, but I guess GOG QA room can give you an idea - http://www.gamestar.de/specials/reports/3083304/hinter_den_kulissen_von_gogcom.html

The room you're talking about is a meeting room that was temporarily readjusted for the hands on. We're in the process of starting office renovation (and assimilating new office space ;) so the choice of free / extra space for such events is very limited at the moment.
