Geralt_of_Rivia: However, currently the download speed is abysmal (300-400 KB/s).

Timboli: My download speed has also been suffering.
It is a bit better than yours, with the maximum of 1.2 MB sec, but normally it should be 4.X Megabytes a second.

It has been this way for over a week now.

Luckily I have not bought any big file size games in that time, just small ones.
For me it's only been two days. On the first day speeds were down to 300 KB/s. On the second day it went even further down to 50 KB/s, probably thanks to the BG3 release.

But since yesterday downloads are back to normal for me.
tag+ has brought it to my attention that it's hard to tell when I've last updated the CSV exports I provide, because there's no date info attached. And indeed there isn't any obvious date timestamp anywhere since I like to keep the same links persistent and export the files auto-magically from my database directly.

GDrive does however expose a last modification timestamp, it's just harder to get to. I've included a screenshot of where one can find it below.

It's also time for a stats link update, since I've just refreshed all ids and did a full product id scan, so note the below:

-> Game ID list: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LNXLX-jc2uasingMzXTXOnTCVUiaauUj/view?usp=sharing

-> Deveoper/Publisher list: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13itDMZy46NwNm7dF-mEwvPHaKdpTQ4jj/view?usp=sharing

-> Tag list: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1S4xoz3ToDG99suUi3LZa8xhU97d4cXHO/view?usp=sharing

-> Game ID with tags list: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Iik9SbEmD87uZPXn5ysjVCLLnFssGZ8q/view?usp=sharing

All of the above are updated roughly every month. And last but not least:

-> Galaxy vs offline installer version discrepancy list: https://airtable.com/shrldLsErlUf3eHqS

... updated weekly, over the weekend.

P.S. Interested to see the code I'm using to generate this data? It's on GitHub: https://github.com/WinterSnowfall/gog_gles

*Sigh*... I've been starting to get some HTTP 500 responses from the GOG APIs this morning... not sure what's going on.

Can anyone access this link: https://api.gog.com/v2/games/1207661013?locale=en-US without seeing the Atlas GOGBear?

GOGBear for me, too. But is that even supposed to work? The API documentation doesn't know anything about api.gog.com/v2/games.

This link works: https://api.gog.com/products/1207661013

Perhaps it doesn't, but the v2 endpoints are what both the website and Galaxy are using to display game product pages. Yes, it's definitely supposed to work and has worked until today.

See: https://api.gog.com/v2/games/1?locale=en-US

Yeah, I am aware. The products endpoint was never a problem.

I got a database of some kind. I tried Geralt_of_Rivia's URL and got a similar but different and shorter database entry.
I'm 11 hours later, and the link works for me.

Aha! Thanks for the heads up. Seems like things should work properly now, so the GOG surveillance program resumes.
high rated
A bit of post-reveal GOG trivia: apparently God of War, Uncharted and Days Gone had been in GOG's back yard since at least February 2023. So I guess they've been keeping the big Sony touchdown under wraps for a while now. As to why, one can speculate it was due to clauses, contractual obligations and whatnot.

Today i learned there's a Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader Beta available on GOG, just not to us mere mortals. I guess it's only for backers or something like that? Haven't really kept up with this to be honest.

Seems like it's in the 0.2 version range at the moment, so probably still a bit to go in terms of development.

Been following the game since it was announced. It's supposed to release next week on December 7th:

Think the beta is just for those who have pre-ordered the game.

That's a lot sooner than I thought. Looking forward to it!

I see. Yeah, makes sense.
Gotta ask, is anyone still interested in this kind of thing: https://airtable.com/shrldLsErlUf3eHqS ?

It's not that much of a pain to maintain, but I might let it go if it's not that interesting to anyone else. Might not be a lot of work, but it's a weekly kind of not a lot of work, so in the grand scheme of things it is... some work :P.

Can always generate it on demand if anyone is curios, btw.

I refer to it (alongside the "second class" thread) from time to time, primarily when I'm debating whether to buy a presumably-DRM-free game on GOG or on steam. But I can certainly live without it, if it will save you some time.
