Fat are just as essential as proteins, especially Omega3 which the body can't produce.
The body needs fat for energy, vitamins, hormones, stable blood-sugar, and building. Fat also lasts longer and makes you less hungry. Carbohydrates is the only thing the body can be low on (or without entirely).
This fear of fat is only making the situation worse and makes it that harder to maintain a healthy body, especially when you want to build muscles.

Generally people struggle to lose weight unless they cut fats. Fat has twice the calories per gram compared to carbs. Omega 3 in fish is different but adding oil and butter to your food while dieting is a big no no Fat are just as essential as proteins, especially Omega3 which the body can't produce.

Generally though eat fish and lean meats like chicken, turkey and avoid fatty cuts of lamb and beef
