I JUST used my card to buy SWJ Fallen order from another store, yet I cannot use it here nor can I use PayPal and Google Pay, it's not my card as Google Pay did a temp charge for verification and that went through!

This isn't the first time it happened, either!

Think your first mistake was buying a game that isn't for sale here

No, I bought that game from EA, I should have clarified that better, my mistake, I'll edit my post!

Something like this happened to me earlier in the year, not with GOG but with another store. I called my card company to have them look into why the transaction was rejected and the reason was that the company had false flagged to store as a risk and there system automatically rejects transactions on stores they have flagged.

Not saying it is the same thing happening to you but it would be worth checking out to at least remove it as a possibility.
It looks like we’re several affected people: Anyone else can't pay by card?
In my case, this issue has been going on for almost one full year.

I had this issue only once but seeing how more and more people can't pay for GOG purchases is troubling.
For me, it sucks even more as I'm disabled/retired, so I'm on a fixed income, and I can't very well call my financial institution as I don't have one!

It usually happens sporadically, as this is not the first time my card was rejected by GoG, I suppose I'll give it another go tomorrow... but at least I'm not the only one with this issue!
My bank did that to me and I had to tell them that they should never ever put GOG on that list again.

I’ve asked around and it seems that it’s most likely a false freud alarm. You should wait some time and try again later. If it doesn’t help contact support. They’ll remove the blockade manually.
I have used 2 cards here before and both cards have been frozen.
Banks don't like gog. I use paypal instead, no issues.

I’ve been blocked for a full year, but understood only recently that the issue is with GOG, not with my banks.
I opened a support request two weeks ago, but still got no news from them. Is that kind of delay expected?

It is a bit frustrating because I’m going to miss on the current winter sale. I am of course not keeping that against the support team themselves, it is surely not their own choice to be understaffed…

Thanks, I'll do that!

Actually it is their fault. Nobody forces the company executives to not meet demand of customer need. They make a conscience decision to fail. Nobody forces them to disregard people from other nations. Especially USA, in which having both employees and a bank account within american borders would literally solve most of their problems.

It might solve some problems, but it would create a whole host of new ones for GoG - not least liability for US corporate and other taxes, US registration and filing requirements etc.
