Grilledfish: He's the bouncer. Keeps the riff-raff out.

Less competition for him. :D
I am not a bouncer and that is not what I meant. The OP came in with a question and someone got on their ass about it. I was simply trying to let them know that this isn't indicative of the forum.

R4Z0RGR1ND3R: you arent bored you are just poor and cant afford them. To be bored means you would have to play a lot and saturate your mind. nobody avoids chicken for a year then go to KFC and after one bite go "im boreed"
We don't take kindly to your types in here.

You know I could edit that but I think that falls under Freudian slip. :P
If you wanna run the game, tell us the name of your GPU. If you don't know, you can download CPU-Z from CPUID and install it, run it and check the ''Graphics'' tab in it. It will have the name of your GPU. You should also have a CPU with at least 4 cores. Just tell us its' name. You can find the processor name in CPU-Z as well.

1GB is VRAM or video memory. It is used to render the textures. If you use a lower resolution screen or use lower graphics, settings, TW3 will run if you CPU and GPU are powerful enough. So the most important things here are CPU and GPU power.

I think you're living proof for all of Freud's messed up theories. And that's why everybody loves you. *hug*

Well i know these basics however thanks for your nice explanation. To be quite honest i made my rig not for gaming as a main purpose so it's not top however i figured out that it suits for games too. As for the Witcher i checked it on the site kinda like " Сan i run it?" and the only point my config was not good enough was my GPU because it has only 1GB memory. Atm i use AMD Radeon HD6850 graphic card. But as I said it won't be a big deal for me to get a new one from the financial point of view if i won't be amused how the game runs.

Benches: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1077?vs=1034
So you'll either have to overclock the card like crazy or buy a new one. Its compared with the HD7870 which CDPR says is the minimum for 1080p. So if you're playing at lower resolutions, you may wanna try to OC and risk damaging your card or buy a new one.

Well i highly doubt that i will bother myself with overclocking. Besides would it make sense to make a crossfire for better performance or i should get rid from the old one at all?
I am thinking about getting MSI R9 280X. What do you guys think about it?

:O if i would be a smart man, which i'm not, i'd wait until directx 12 is released this summer - at least that's what news say. :-/ as for your game witcher 3?.. :V if it's going to be released in a few days how can you be so sure that it won't have any bugs or problems? maybe it'll still take time to patch just like it happened with so many other games :( i'm not trying to change you're point of view man mkay? you do as you're muscles tell you mkay?

PS: peace - mkay?!

Wait... it's compared with the 7870? I have a 7870* and it has 2gb of VRAM, which as far as I know is the standard for that model.

*I know very well I'll need a new card soon, especially to experience TW3's graphics to their fullest :P

X-fire probably won't work with TW3, or any new upcoming games. Optimizing for non solo GPU combos will always be neglected by devs because most people use single GPU configs. So say nay to getting a new 6850.
The 280X is a good card, but if you intend to use this purchase for a good few years for upcoming games, I also would advice waiting for the AMD 300 series GPUs which will fully support DX12.

@Gibush 7870 is the minimum AMD GPU CDPR recommends. I say TW3 will probably run on a 7850 but anyhow, we can at least say the 7870 WILL run TW3 to a greater or lesser degree :D
Ok guys i have bought AMD R9 280x today i hope it will be able to run the Wild Hunt =)
