It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

phaolo: I'm not sure I understand that remaster tho, did they use higher quality samples than the original tracks? It feels quite similar
possibly a remaster in a traditional sense where the tracks have been mastered again (normally for a new physical format back then such as DAT or CD) - possibly different studio, equipment, engineer etc.

phaolo: Nice, thanks.

When compared to at least the PSX it sounds almost the same with the exception that the 2023 version (the streaming file is 128kps) sounds less "muffled" and more db on the low frequencies (i.e. heavy on the bass).

The slipstream version is longer and sounds higher on the high frequencies. At least that's what I'm hearing. Idk.

Sat42: but damn, we have a long way to go and thank goodness for the high seas!
Indeed. Though, we might have accept the fact that much of the data we've created has been and will be lost forever, sadly.

Good to know, I'm going to build the binary ones myself from the source when I get the time. The one via the browser played ok, maybe too good. For some reason I kept hitting the brown mountain on the first map no matter what speed I had. Didn't had that problem in the original version.

Or, maybe it's me getting older.. XD

Skyl1ne9: I love this project and the idea of the creator saying "either put up or shut up" to Sony regarding any C&Ds.
Absolutely. The one recreating Diablo's engine and the those serving the original files to NOLF openly pretty much did the same thing. One of the main developer behind Rollcage did it but got sadly hit before Grind got released, so yeah, it all depends on how much the current IP owner are willing to go after them.
