So, I'm considering upgrading from Windows 7 to 10 since it is free.... But.... am wondering what that might do for my GoG library.

Thoughts anyone?

Windows 10 isn't officially supported by GOG yet. If you proceed to upgrade, know that the support won't help you with any technical problems you might encounter.

i wouldnt bother just because its free

not beyond trying to install ubunutu on a p2 for a laugh ;p

and that joke in that link is old btw
all updates and version of mac os X are free now i can download mavericks right now if i like

Well, not just the cloud, but my brow is arched at the 'all for one' platform they've stated where Windows 10 will be Windows 10 no matter what. How are they gonna pull that? I already know the dreaded return of MSN and Microsoft Accounts is another snag.

Once Windows 10 is fully released rumors say Windows 10 will be fully released in summer of 2015 you can expect gog.com to add Windows 10 support at least before the month that Windows 10 is released is over.

I myself am getting 3 Windows 10 copies because I need them.

I'm still curious how it came to pass that 7 and 8 are followed by 10. I mean, aren't MS forgetting something?

That's my plan as well. Your GOG library should be fine since it's an upgraded Windows 8 pretty much.

It was done on purpose as a Windows 9 might have caused some issues relating to the naming of Windows 95 and 98 if i'm not mistaken.

Indeed. It is due to lazy programmers checking the Windows version by looking for the string Windows 9*.
