Tonight, i had an epiphany... I paused for a moment and suddenly though; why doesn't gog bring in Tin-tin games??? There had been one (or more) of those on pc at least, memory serves. They had also been a great cartoon, wouldn't hurt either to be here as movies, i guess...

Why isn't here any hint of Tin-tin at all? I know, i have read various nonsense claiming it to be racist and stuff, but that is simply absurd and hilarious! Games were good, if i am not mistaken??
I (fondly) remember the Cartoon, but I have never heard of them, so it might about lack of demand, as there's not much on the wishlist
No.

It's hopeless.
Why is the sky not green? Why does the moon not fit into my pocket? Boy, I wish I could cruise around on my paper plane!
Why aren't the Star Trek games here?

Licensing... It's almost always licensing.

Edit: Much irony in this post... Now a very bad example.

I would like GOG to move into Ebooks. It would be lovely to have Tintin, Cartoon History, and others to be available DRM-free. Being able to abandon dead-tree editions would be awesome. :)
Never .

Woot! Tintin in the gog forum! I loved the books! I don't know much about any Tintin games on PC. I know there were some platformers. What are your favorite books? Mine are

1.) Secret of the Unicorn & Red Rackham's treasure (counted as one)
1.) Destination Moon & Explorers on the Moon
2.) The Seven Crystal Balls & Prisoners of the Sun
4.) The Calculus Affair
5.) The Land of Black Gold

Tintin in the Congo and I think Tintin in America got some flak for racism, but those are two very early books especially the former.

Something I would love to see are gaming magazines from their first days onwards. I always enjoy reading old reviews. There's just something about reading about old games as if they were new.

Hah, I'd like to see GOG try to negociate with Rodwell.

Also, it takes a kNigSbArdNYEh to consider that Tintin in Congo isn't racist. Hergé himself was quite aware and embarrassed of these flaws (which were normal for that time, Franquin himself didn't avoid it).

I read Tintin in French but some of those title do not ring a bell at all.

1. No idea & Le tresor de Rackam le rouge.
2 Destination Lune & No idea
3. No idea & no idea (Tintin chez les Azteques?)
4. No idea.
5. L'Or Noir.

4. Affaire Tournesol (Tournesol est Calculus en anglais)

Yes, the ebooks would rock! Sadly, gog is not (yet) into this media, yet...

Hell, it was a great cartoon. But still, i really fail to see where racism was at. This is one of my biggest childhood unanswered questions, so if anyone can enlighten me on this one, please, do.

The games (i think there are two for pc), would make excellent buys. But even the old console ones were great (snes for example).

Don't know, i felt like remembering Tin-tin. As i said, *epiphany*!
The racism accusations against Tintin au Congo come from the depiction of the Congolese as gentle, naive men constantly being in awe of "da white man" ("li missié blanc") and trying to emulate him. Sure, it's hardly the most shocking stereotype from that period (faaar from it), but It's blatantly paternalist, whereas reality has more blood in it.

The two platformers (Tintin in Tibet & Prisoners of the Sun) were developped and published by Infogrames (Atari). There were released for consoles and PC.

I see... Also, thanks for the reminding of titles!
