zeogold: I'm having trouble figuring out whether this is supposed to be a serious question or just parody.
GOG is so broken that their OWN client barely works half the time, and you're suggesting they try to integrate Discord?
Darvond: Yes.
....
Well, assuming you're serious, GOG is quite unlikely to do this since a lot of its userbase is opposed to multiplayer (at least, currently) since multiplayer games require the game to be tied to an account and for one's computer to be online perpetually. This is the bare-bones definition of DRM, so most folks around here steer clear of it.
Discord is a voicechat system used for the primary purpose of playing multiplayer games together, so it's unlikely that implementing it here would actually do any good. There's not even that many multiplayer games here as it is.
You could argue it could be used for people to just chat it up with one another, but in that case, what's the point of tying it in to GOG?
Add to all that the fact that a good deal of the GOG demographic is probably opposed to the idea of tying in their account to other services.
