Tauto: Well,I took it and even made a thread thanking Gog and I think the amazing number of 2 other users thanking Gog for the freebie. And it goes to show how ignorant the snatch and grab mob in here are or just take it for granted and can't even be polite and thank Gog and yet they say how this place is full of nice people.Well,so called good people would it break something by saying thanks Gog.
Many said so in the main sale thread, actually.....always think/check stuff before you post...just my two cents. :)
dtgreene: I'll accept a free game that I'll never download or play, provided it's DRM-free (and I don't have to do extra work, like making an extra account, to claim it).
I consider DRM-encumbered games to have negative value, and therefore I consider free to be too expensive a price for such games.
(Also, it's worth noting that, since DRM-encumbered games have negative value, the combination of a DRM-free copy and a steam key for a game is worth less to me than the DRM-free copy would be alone.)
Me, I always take games as I have no moral qualms with making drm'd games non-drm through ANY means(once legally bought). This also gives me more avenues to buy games from than some have.
I get your moral stance though and support you/others having it and sticking to your principles.
Randalator: I don't grab stuff just because it's free. I don't like Myst so I gave Obduction a pass. Why clutter my library with stuff I don't want and then go through additional steps to hide it essentially restoring the state of affairs before adding it in the first place?
You shouldn't get stuff you don't want, but is hiding it that difficult? I figure it's like a few clicks maximum. :\
omega64: It's a puzzle game, what are you talking about.
sanscript: You didn't get the " " ? ;)
To me it's a "walking-simulator" with puzzle-elements. Just as boring as Kholat and The Ball. Nothing more.
It started good but it got progressively more boring as the "story" went on.
To be fair many games are "walking sims"...some with shooting or magic casting/swordplay, but many great games involve some amount of walking.
Wishmaster777: Who cares if you took it or skipped it. No one.
It's still a valid topic for people to discuss.
