"Where is the Cyber Monday Sale? I was told there would be a sale today. Cyber Monday is a lie."

---Sten

:D

Seriously though, why isn't Gog doing anything special for today? I thought at least they would continue the same Black Friday sale into today. Perhaps Gog thinks Cyber Monday isn't that big of a day anymore.
I had a similar question.

I was going to ask:

"Why did the GOG Black Friday sale end before Cyber Monday?

There were some games I was probably going to buy today, because I naturally assumed the sale wouldn't end before Cyber Monday had ended. But it did, so now I won't.

I think the cyber Monday sale is Cyberpunk still being half off?
If there is a cyber monday sale planned, I'd imagine it will start in a bit over 3 hours.

I never even heard of any Cyber Monday. Can we really not go a week without inventing some new day of this or day of that? :D

How did you "naturally assume" the sale wouldn't end before Cyber Monday when there was literally a big timer telling you that the sale was going to end today?

Wow, i didn't even know this was a reference. Probably because i never heard of Cyber Monday when that PPV was a thing. Actually, i never even heard of Cyber Monday until like 2 years ago.

It's more of an American thing, much like black Friday itself, but yeah it was a reference to that in part, haha but more to do with fan interaction, they did a similar gimmick on RAW a few years later after the PPV was stopped in like 2008?, Cyber Monday is just the bookend to the sales pretty much.
In Canada we have Boxing Day which is the day after Christmas.

Do you get permission to punch people in the face? That would be pretty great, actually. I have to visit!

TomNuke: How did you "naturally assume" the sale wouldn't end before Cyber Monday when there was literally a big timer telling you that the sale was going to end today?
Because:

1) I never consciously looked at the timer, since it didn't matter to me, on the basis that I assumed it would end when Cyber Monday ends, and no sooner.

2) Did the timer actually list the day it ended with the verbatim word for the day, i.e. Sunday? If not, then I especially wouldn't have had any reason to make any mental note of noticing the timer or when the timer would end (in the exact same way as how GOG has been making all of their game delistings become invisible for the past year, by way of "Stickying" them so no one sees them, since people are naturally acclimated never to look at the Sticky section).

3) It's standard practice across many/most companies/industries not to end "Black Friday" sales before Cyber Monday has also expired too. Hence, that standard practice has established a well-understood convention, from which consumers can draw a reasonable inference.
