I mean come on, you bring new versions of certain games in, and instead of updating our game libraries you want us to buy these new versions?
Why are we stuck with "Fallout 2 Classic" in our libraries and have to buy "Fallout 2" in order to have the latest version of the game? I mean what's the difference, it's the same game! It's like charging us extra for a PATCH, isn't it?

The installers are the same in each version. No differences there. The only difference is that the new version has less extras.

The classic versions of the game were updated yesterday without notice so you already have the latest version. Just redownload the games.

The reason to separate between the classic and the new product is that in the past there was lots of bonus content courtesy of Interplay that new buyers don't get because Bethesda doesn't have the rights to them.

But even the classic version will be updated in the future.

The version you have in your library is better than the one they released today.
The Windows installers are identical (updated today).
And the version in your library also has a mac version and loads of goodies that are missing from the new release.
No point in buying the new release whatsoever.
Think of it as you owning the deluxe edition, while today they released the regular edition.

Geralt_of_Rivia: Bethesda doesn't have the rights to them.
I thought Bethesda was unsure if they own the rights to them, but rather than delay their return, GOG decided to release them now without the extra content, and add it as soon as the situation was cleared. At least that's what I recall the blues saying, tell me if I have to go find that post.

Here it is.

Also, here's JudasIscariot saying that you don't really need to bother with the new ones if you already own the original releases.
