"IMPORTANT NOTICE! WE ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING HEAVY SUPPORT TRAFFIC, THEREFORE RESPONSE TIMES ARE HIGHER THAN USUAL. WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING."

LOL. I think this notice has been hanging over the Support section ever since the Censorvirus.

drrhodes: If you haven't, recheck your ticket and say something on the ticket.

Berzerk2002: Like I said earlier I've replied to my own ticket to change the status back to "Open" again but this shouldn't have to be a thing at all. This is not how support normally works.
Sorry, I missed that in one of your posts.

It's probably a thing because I think gog consists of three people, and the support staff person works on alternate Tuesdays.

timppu: ...like pull the game from the store because it is not supported on GOG).
ALL games that GOG sells are supported. If you mean supported by the developer... well, then they should pull all/many OLD games (because many of those developers don't exist anymore).

Maybe you're referring to newer games that get DLC/updates/achievements/whatever on other stores but not on GOG. Well, then I disagree with you. Not everybody cares about the same things.
There's this guy here (you probably know who I'm referring to) that likes all games removed that don't have achievements here if the Steam versions do have them. If that's not self-centred...

Leroux: Short-staffed, constrained by the pandemic, and overwhelmed with an increasing amount of support tickets since the introduction of the new refund policy, especially during sales, would be my guess. But who knows.
I bet their Support staff absolutely fucking hates whomever in the company came up with the idea of their new, "even more lax than Steam's!" refund policy. The pandemic and resulting lockdowns were just the unexpected icing on the shit cake baked for them by GOG's PR wizards.
To be fair, the support is one of the last parts of GOG I have no issue at all with ;)

I only had to ask for their help twice or trice in almost ten years (already a good thing) so this might not be representative, but I always got a prompt answer.

Especially since it isn't actually that more lax but requires staff to manually check and approve, while Steam most probably just uses bots or other automatic tools for it in most cases.
