It's better than my first impression would let me believe (the cutscenes and some NPC models and animations are horrible). It has a few original and enjoyable ideas, like stacking items of the same type to improve them or boosters for your spells. And although others will probably hate that, I like that you have no determined class and can dabble a bit in melee, ranged combat and magic, and that you can exploit the health and mana shrines and the predictable AI. It gets a bit repetitive after a while though, but I guess that is the fate of most open world games.
