All I can think of is Dark Messiah but I'm pretty sure that isn't it. Always seemed like an awesome game though.

Can't recall, played it when it came out, but no recollections of it anymore. I do recall that I finished it, so probably average game.

If not, maybe it's Proteus with a non-blocky graphics mod.. :D

Also, I just found the game on Steam by coincidence, looking through some games I might buy in the Sale later today... I'll wait to see if someone who actually played it recognizes it, wouldn't be fun if I'd just spoil it :)
