Is GOG attempting to copy Steam now with a record being kept on the games played and how long that you have played each one?

Mine is useless. It's completely wrong. They need to fix it or just get rid of it.

Yes, GOG is copying Steam. The hours played depend on whether you've played the game using GOG Galaxy, and if so, if if Galaxy is set to log your gaming time (I believe it is by default).

You could turn off your profile by going here: https://www.gog.com/account/settings/privacy and unchecking "show profile".

I had a feeling it's accuracy was tied to GOG Galaxy in some way. I guess this is just another way to get people to use GOG Galaxy. No thanks.

Thank you for replying.

What's going on with them?! What isn't going on with them, amirite? =D

I actually would make use of my profile if I had the ability to control what activity was posted on the page. Right now it just feels like a ridiculous amount of random clutter. Do I really care about showing off hours-played milestones and achievements? Nope. Sure, I can manually remove that stuff, but that is just beyond tedious.

Now? Nothing much. I'm afraid you missed the shitstorm. It was a really spectacular one. Went on for like two weeks.
