l0rdtr3k: What about Wargame? Is it nice?
It's an absolute steal at that price. It's pretty good. Polished and enjoyable. Impossible to knock for the money. Not a game I'd consider for my top 5 strategy games or anything like that. But at that price? Yeah, get it.

If only that were possible.

No idea, sorry. I do like the art style though.

Reminds me of the Ralph Bakshi movies for some reason.

For some reason? I wouldn't be at all surprised if those were a direct inspiration. Especially the Lord of the Rings.

Haven't watched that movie in forever.Quite a very nice adaptation of the novel.

EVERYBODY SHOULD BUY IT

It's a great tactical game, with a little bit of choose-your-own-adventure adventuring, some branching ethical decisions, and an epic story/storytelling. Plus it is fantastic to look at and listen to. Beautiful little game. Which I should totally replay one day.

(And do my best to make better decisions at its key points, this time around. God, it was game-of-thrones brutal, at times.)

Also, lol at my 1337 rep.

And it's inspired by Ralph Bakshi(I'm certain).

jcosmocohen: My knowledge of older games isn't very good, and I'm always scouring the store pages in search of an old game that looks like it'd be fun.

In that type of spirit, recommend a game (doesn't have to be older!) to the community that YOU think everyone should buy - especially if it's on sale. You don't have to limit yourself to only one recommendation, either!
Great old games:

Master of Orion 2
Deus Ex
Anachronox
Gabriel Knight: sins of the fathers
System Shock 2
Fallout
Fallout 2
(i know, i know...i'm just teasing those that didn't get them :D )
And most Lucasarts games...

Newer games:
FTL
Hotline Miami
The blackwell series
Pillars of Eternity
Shadowrun returns & dragonfall
Wasteland 2

The Banner Saga was pretty good but has little to no replayability imo. So if it's on sale yeah, it's worth it. If not...not so much.
