ConsulCaesar: Monkey Island. I didn't realize it's been over a decade since Tales. It's time for a new adventure. Who knows? Ron Gilbert recently blogged about trying to register Monkey Island-related somain names. Perhaps something's on the works.
I'm not sure if GIlbert doing this makes me happy. Actually, I'm pretty sure it doesn't. I'd love Monkey Island to return, but he's going to retcon everything after 2 and go back to crappy pixels.

Radiance1979: A grand series such as wingcommander would deserve a return,

with crappy fhm acting done by professional's and a dream of a story in space, kick ass combat and nice regions filled with trade and opportunity in the footsteps of privateer 2

Blake Lively should at least be in it , and anthony walker.. not to mention a cameo for .. uhm what was his name again, the original actor in privateer 2

Clive Owen
I too would like to see Wing Commander return, although I'm happy with animated/rendered cutscenes given my fondness for the first two games.

My only request is that the Wing Commander movie and its pilgrim trappings plays no part in the lore.
+1 for a proper new Command and Conquer (C&C4 was garbage, Rivals is also garbage, Generals 2 got canceled and as awesome as the remasters are, they aren't the new entry in the series I want to see).

The problem is that the C&C game I want needs to have a really good single player campaign but EA doesn't do really good single player campaigns anymore.

I want to see a new entry in the Space Quest series. One that is a true Space Quest entry (taking all the good and funny stuff from the 6 games we do have) and that is actually a proper adventure game. Won't happen though because (in the eyes of big publishers like Activision Blizzard at least) adventure games don't make enough money anymore. (at least not when that same development budget could be put towards the latest World of Warcraft expansion or the latest Call of Duty and make guaranteed big $)

I also wish all the parties involved could get over their feud and make a proper new Star Control game that has both the proper gameplay of Star Control 2 AND the name (I am inclined to side with the original creators when they make the claim that the license to the Star Control IP expired and the people claiming to own it don't actually own it)
Severance - Blade of Darkness sequel or at least remake
Drakan - Order of Flame remake or proper PC sequel
American McGee Presents - Scrapland sequel and/or remake
American McGee's Alice third sequel/new game/reboot
No One Lives Forever third game or reboot or at least a release of first two games
Manhunt third game and uncensored release of second game

True Star Control 2 sequel from Toys for Bob (Paul Reiche III and Fred Ford) - Ghosts of the Precursors or some other name

kai2: What dormant series do you wish would get revived with a new installment?

A few years back I would have said Mafia... but then Mafia III came along and I wished they'd left the series alone.
That's why they say: "be careful what you wish for...you might get it". ;)

Orkhepaj: Thief
Star trek game Bridge commander fe
Master of orion no shitty copies
Heroes
Wizardry
that star trek fleet game btw, that is something i would like to see, remember running my ass of getting out of the missile ranges from those..... Romulan? Star Destroyers ;)
Die by the Sword.

Still the best melee combat system to date. While there is this mod that greatly improves the looks of the game https://www.moddb.com/mods/die-by-the-sword-xtended

it would be nice to see someone make a new game with this incredible combat system.

paladin181: Elder scrolls circa Daggerfall. I'd love to see that game get a real sequel.
Have you heard of OnceLost Games? They might produce just what you've been waiting for in the last 25 years. I'm not following their progress though, so I'm not up to date. According to their twitter account they have a discord server: http://discord.io/CouncilOfWisdom

I myself would like to see a remaster (yes, sorry!) of TES Adventures: Redguard, followed by a continuation of the the elder scrolls adventures spinoff series. Just... not created by Bethesda Softworks. I don't think I'd like whatever they make nowadays.
A dormant series I wish could get revived?

I have to go with one of the best gaming series ever!

DIZZY! ( :

Dizzy was a hero in my gaming youth. Starting on the humble Spectrum, and continuing onto the PC.
We desperately need a new Dizzy game.

Noone mentioned Half-Life yet? That's a first. Has the hope finally died down, with the release of the VR only Alyx? ;)

To be honest though, I tried to come up with a good one and I can't think of any. I tend to buy sequels of games I enjoyed but I hardly ever really wish for them. Unless the story remains unfinished, I guess. There certainly were a few games like that, but now that I try, I don't recall which ones. (Dreamfall already got a sequel, but from what I've seen not a very satisfying one; what other games ended on a cliffhanger that I can't recall right now?)

Radiance1979: that is a tricky question. I'm not so sure what parts of syndicate changed between wars and 1st game. If the answer is : " only the graphics part changed " you and satellite reign might get along just fine.

i've only did a explorers run of satellite reign i might add

what i found was a nice little squad game in a persistent world filled with all kinds of puzzles people can live there brains out on. As a introduction you are tasked with freeing the other members of your soon to be famous richmen's hitman squad. Certain aspects such as upgrading and/or kidnapping other people with the mind control gun soon felt pretty familiar with the older game. After a while i became bored and stepped out to the genres responsible for that boredom namely grand strategy or the most well received sci fi adventures. I feel i only dipped toes and have the slight feeling that i left a grand world of bankrobbery, identity theft, and full scale corporate warfare tipped with exciting cyborg upgrades behind me but... who knows, every now and then the titles crosses my mind and if so on the right moment i will be sure to install and boot up satellite reign again.

I belief the game did fairly well in the reviewcorner and current user reviews say about a 3,5 out of 5 on the gog department and on steam you can find a very postive overal review rating. with on both sides a lot of reviews naming it a must for foundation fans

the price of 30 dollars on gog and 24 dollars on steam does sound a bit steep though there seems enough ground available to say yes to your question : " would you recommend ? "
Thanks! I'm wishlisting it for now, full price is too much for me, but I could give it a try at some future sale after I've cleared a few of my most wanted games on the list.
I wanted − litterally for years − other games in the Shining Force series.
But then,
Camelot software stopped colaborating with Sega,
the other Shining games stopped being tactical,
Sega corporates tried multiple times to shutdown the Shining Force Central − wich is the biggest community portal dedicated to the Shining series... −,
and Sega corporates tried to erase Shining the Holy Ark videos from Youtube − some kind of negationism − in order to promote Shining Ark...

Too many "injuries".
And I really don't care about the Valkyria Chronicles series and won't take it as a "replacement".

Now, I don't even know if I still would like a Shining Force 4...
But I'm sure that if it would happen, I woulnd't trust Sega until it is released (and of course the fact that no Sega classics are here − with the exception of remakes or sequels − makes me more skeptical).
