Emob78: Never Ending Story (Club Mix) ~ LIMAHL
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-VZLqHeKTE

Yeah, it seems a little gay now with Viking Metal and hip-hop being so popular, but that shit right there was what I was winged on as a kid in the 80s. There was a time in the world when it was macho and cool to want to ride a dragon or live as a pirate or wear neon clothes without being called a faggot and robbed by thuggish pedestrians.

The 80s seems like the last decade when it ok to be innocent and naive. The 90s came around and we had to grow up and settle for grunge, rap, and reality tv.

monkeydelarge: I was a kid during the 80s too. There was something very magical about the 80s. It was a good decade. I loved that Limahl song when I was a kid. Remember how cool the toys were in the 80s? Not like the shitty toys they have available today. In the 80s, they had G.I. Joe vehicles and figures that looked so original and cool, even adults back then would admire them. Like this giant space shuttle complex below.
I never had the space command thing, but I did have the air craft carrier, which was HUGE. Seriously, it was like 7 feet long. My step brother also had the Cobra Terror-drome. We used to have GIJoe battles that would wreck the house with action figures and little plastic missiles all over the place. Good times.

But the original metal Transformer toys were even better. Megatron actually turned into a Walther pistol. A child's toy robot transforming into a gun! Can you believe that? What dark, violent times those were. Everything was out of control.

So to stay on topic, here's the Joe themes from the cartoon.

Be a real American hero.
